R u going to Cambridge folk festival this year? It's their 50th...loved seeing you there a few years ago and wondered if you would be there this year for 'the people'

I am going to Cambridge this year and would love to see Frank there.
I think it depends on him being asked though.
I remember seeing something on the festival website once firmly warning patrons not to bother the festival organizers with suggestions!

That's not really how festival booking works. Festivals ask bands, not the other way around. Of course I'd do it if asked and if it fits in my diary.
Shows? All of em.

I went a couple of years ago to see John Prine at Cambridge. Loved it. He is a favourite of mine. I only realised afterwards that Frank had been the year before I think. Now that would of been perfect to have John Prine and Frank in the same year! Enjoyed James Vincent McMorrow who was on before JP though.

Agh, I'm so jealous! Richard Thompson is amazing, Beeswing has been one of my favorite songs since I was a kid. Now there is a cover I would love to hear Frank do.

Yep, 'Beeswing' has actually made me cry. Christy Moore does a lovely cover version of it.
My favourite RT song though is '1952 Vincent Black Lightning'. That would make for an awesome cover too, though to my in-expert ears that sounds like fairly complicated guitar playing (no offense intended).

I've only ever heard The Futureheads a Capella cover of it, which I love.

I just checked out that Futureheads cover. Thanks for mentioning, Blonde. I didn't know it.
I'm afraid I don't like it. I love that song so much the cover seems a bit sacrilegious to me.
Don't mind me. I have no sense of humour…..!
