A few quick questions

Post by smige2 » Sun Feb 18, 2018 3:28 pm

Hi,

Are there plans for any more London shows this year after Lost Evenings? I have tickets to the LI&S show, which I am very excited about, but I realised too late that in order to hear your new material I should have bought tickets to the other nights which are now sold out!

Secondly, are there plans to release the acoustic version of There She Is (e.g. as a b-side)?

Finally, are there plans to update the layout of this forum with the new album coming out? It's been fairly quiet for the past year or so, and I wonder if a lick of paint might encourage people to get active on here again :)

On that last point, the Facebook group now has over 10,000 members so I suspect that's where people are mostly hanging out. Kind of a shame for those who don't want to delve too deep into the murky world of social media. While the FB group has moments of awesomeness (meet-ups, gig buddies) it also regularly fills me with fear for the future of humanity (ticket panic, horrible sense of entitlement). Although, on reflection, I think I've just described the internet as a whole . . .

I like having a separate area here. It's fairly low traffic and the FAQ means that people only post if they want to know something that isn't generally out there. In return Frank is very generous with his time.

I occasionally look at the FB group but it is hard work filtering out all the noise.

I lasted about 4 months on the FB group before becoming so enraged that I had to quit. There are plenty of nice people there, but there are an awful lot of bell ends too. Been gone since just after PSFNP and have enjoyed life considerably more without it.

Afternoon all. More London shows, yes, naturally, the April tour is very much leg 1 of the UK run for this tour. We are booking through til the end of 2019 now. Acoustic TSI, yeah working on a plan for that. And updating here, yeah at some point; I tax the online webdev team pretty hard as it is...
Shows? All of em.

Thanks for the reply Frank. I used to administrate phpBB forums many moons ago, so could always lend a hand with the design if needed.

The Facebook group has never appealed to me particularly. Have always enjoyed this little forum community and the fact that Frank can just join in the discussion without everyone getting ridiculously fanboy/fangirl-ish

Yeah, I lasted a little under a year in the Main FB group before getting unceremoniously tossed. The North American version is quite a bit more grown up and focused. Cheers!

BTW the Frank FAQ on the "Ask Me" forum seems to have disapeared.

The one where Frank explains that he can't play at weddings, birthdays and bar mitzvahs because he is rather busy at the moment.
