Lost Evenings support

Post by amysaurus.rex » Mon Jan 23, 2017 8:47 pm

Skinny Lister supporting FT again, this time at the Roundhouse.
First saw them supporting FT in Manchester at the Night & Day, they were the perfect support band. Great to see another band with a similar level of energy as the headliner!
Don't think I could be more excited now! :D :D

Skinny Lister is always a good GO in my opinion. We're going to see them anyway at the Scala on the thursday with AJJ. Will be a great start for this amazing weekend. Would also travel to Brighton on the wednesday, but well - final exams first, then fly over to the UK and then party for a week.

Not really happy about Brian Fallon, as I'm not a fan of him and his music or Gaslight at all. For the other two: I need to give them a listen. One was the Frightened Rabbit singer, aye? Well I like FR, but I'm not a massive fan, so let's see :) The other one is as I'm told a UK folk singer, so I really need to check him out before May...

And let's see how many more acts will get announced...

Seth Lakeman. He's very good. Frank supported him at an open air theatre in Regent's Park in 2008 (with Chris T-T on keys) where he addressed the assembled throng with words to the effect of "It feels like playing to an audience of my mother", which went down like a sack of shit. Good times.

So can we please talk about how good the support acts are for the whole weekend? I do not even know where to start, I only know my voice will be long gone before monday (and mondays lineup is killer!!)

Plus, since the sad announcement that Chris T-T will not be making new music, this is a grand opportunity to see him. I'm a massive fan of his music and writings, and being from America,I really didn't think I'd get the chance to see him perform live. But I am so excited to get to see him at Lost Evenings!
shows? 64 so far

The band formerly known as Andrew Jackson Jihad is amazingly brilliant in a Satanic They Might Be Giants sort of way. So stoked to see them two nights in a row.

Gutted to miss the first two nights of Lost Evenings (especially with today's Chris T-T news) but . . . that Monday line-up is damn near perfect. Wow.

I'm guessing (hoping) stage times will be staggered but I doubt we'll be able to see all six acts, however fast we run between them. Can we arrange a tag team?!

I believe the idea is that you should be able to watch everyone if you so desire.

DAY. MADE.

I can't wait for this. Is it wrong to be more excited for Lost Evenings - or at least the half I can get to - than I am for my brother's wedding that weekend (obviously I'm asking hypothetically, if he happens to see this . . .)

May be worth checking the roundhouse website now. They seem to have released a few tickets for most days (and even the four day ticket).
I just got some standing for Monday :D
