It changes all the time for me. At the moment it would be Oh Brother, Broken Piano and Time Machine (that's a good one to dance around the fluffy kitten to)

I agree with evan. Broken piano is epic.

The Fisher Kings blues for me, growed on me so much and it's almost like 2 different songs..... love the end of the song, gutted he didnt play it at the live shows I was at.
I dont know why but I just wanted to shout along with your tattered flags unfurled!

I keep having dreams.......

Was just watching the 'Behind the scenes' doc of the TDH tour and couldn't help thinking what a pity it is that "We shall not overcome" does not get played live….

This really confused at first, then pissed myself laughing.LouLou wrote:...Time Machine (that's a good one to dance around the fluffy kitten to)
I have to say I agree with Blonde about Polaroid Picture... And also with Evan about Broken Piano. I really wasnt a fan of BP at first but it's definitely grown on me, and it's breathtaking live.
I also love The Way I Tend To Be, I can't really pinpoint why, but whenever I hear it I get a stupid grin on my face (yes, even more stupid than my normal face...)
I think I've wandered away from the point here...

Re: Best Song on Tape Deck Heart
Just had a bit of a count.
'Broken piano' has the most votes (remember that original outcry about the falsetto?!), followed by a tie between 'The way I tend to be' and 'Fisher king blues'.
Every song seems to be someone's favourite, except for 'Losing days', 'Anymore' and (odd…) 'Wherefore art thou Gene Simmons' and 'Undeveloped film'. The latter two were lovely to hear live in Winchester, incidentally.
The only thing for it now to make everybody happy is a full album show!

I would say 'Wherefore Art Thou Gene Simmons' is one of my favorites off the album. Also 'Plain Sailing Weather' and 'Telltale Signs'.Watergirl wrote:Just had a bit of a count.

I love Losing Days, the mandolin really makes it for me.

Re: Best Song on Tape Deck Heart
Is everyone forgetting Tell Tale Signs?????? The rawness of his voice and the harsh reality of the truth behind it and the way he doesn't sugar coat any of it and it's ability to make me cry EVERY TIME I hear it, and the last three words are actually tape deck heart so I really think it's a winner.
