Off-times

Post by grayrace » Thu Feb 20, 2014 3:20 am

Your on tour, no suprise, but it is an off day. Say you've been in town for most of the day and had a chance to go out and explore some already. You're back in the bus. It's 5:00 PM too early for dinner. You've done some 'work' already and aren't in the mood to write, practice, learn, or play music. There aren't any 'engagments' for a few hours. You found that rare moment in life and have time to kill...

What do you do?

He knits. He is currently in the middle of knitting a full tour, complete with knitted band, crew, instruments and stage set.

I read, if I have time. Not entirely sure why "work" is in quotes there. Working through emails / accounts / admin / planning isn't exactly casual.
Shows? All of em.

Lies. Everyone knows you are illiterate.

Because sitting in your golden throne on your private jet (yeah, I heard) while shouting instructions at your minions doesn't seem like work to most people. We all know the hardest thing you do every day is pick which one of them is going to clean your bottom for you.

He grabs a cape and a mask, puts his pants on over his jeans and pretends to be Batman. One day he is hoping to persuade Matt to be Robin.

When is it your turn? Just so I can avoid you that day.

I was fired. "Too many cling-ons and a lack of required intestinal fortitude" or something. Best job I ever had.

(It's all included my tell-all book, which is out in September)

1. No.
2. Pete will be doing the blurb, although the review quote on the cover will be from Frank: "I have never met this person, and this is nothing but lies".

You wouldn't be allowed to BUY it if that is how you spell.

That's so mean. I can't believe you would say that to me.

I am going to go and have a little cry now.

Hmmm fair point. Clearly why I require pictures!

1 further question
1. When we all buy it, we all know you'll "be minted". What will you do with the cash?
