My favourite is still the guy who got the Romney campaign logo on his face in exchange for a cool $15,000. Add a Big Gulp, and Romnomnom, indeed.

I have tattoos that I wouldn't have done now, but I don't regret any of them.Cassie wrote:So does anyone on here have a tattoo they regret? Planned or unplanned?
For me, they are more than an item of art. They signify that part in my life, the people I was with, the relationships I've been in. The town where I had them done. For me they are a permanent mark of a transient feeling, passing event or changing relationship.
I have a bloody awful dolphin tattoo that I had done when I was 16 (illegal as well as awful taste!), it's really badly done, has stretched, faded and all sorts. There's no way I would have that design done now, or be tattooed at that place - but it marked the end of my GCSEs as myself and a group of girlfriends all went and got tattoos together. Not a clever move, and I'm not even friends with those people any more! But I don't even have an inkling of regret about it.
(I have more regret about that terrible pun, ha ha!)
It's just an example but hopefully explains why I am pretty certain that I'll never regret any of my tattoos.
(I am, however, embarrassed by my hideous taste during that phase!!)

I've made some poor decisions in a combination of youth and grief. One I've reworked and the other two are scars (literally) to bear. For better or for worse, they and their circumstances are a part of me.SB wrote:I have tattoos that I wouldn't have done now, but I don't regret any of them.Cassie wrote:So does anyone on here have a tattoo they regret? I have a couple that I don't love anymore, but I don't hate them either. They weren't impulse ones particularly, but I was a lot younger and one especially didn't come out as I'd hoped. The tattooist made it pretty clear he didn't give a shit and I think he made a mess of it. I alternate between not caring and really wanting to get it covered, but not sure with what yet.

Re: "Think Before You Ink"
There's one of mine that I probably wouldn't get now, but I don't regret it. I try to live by the 'never regret something that once made you happy' sort of thing.
I've been toying with the idea of finding somewhere to get a small tattoo when I go to London to see FT in February. Would be nice to commemorate the trip, because it's a big thing for me, in all sorts of ways.

I'm no good at thinking of something funny enough for these things.
