Those small things

Post by moomin » Mon Sep 02, 2013 8:31 pm

Everyone has them

The small things in your life which make you that little bit happier

For me spoonfuls of Nutella or crunchy Peanut Butter
life is far better and tastes fantastic with them

Feel free to share

Yes this is a blatant attempt at some happy forum time and encouragement for silly threads
I will leave the big boys to the challenge of creating deep meaningful discussions like what happens to voices at different turntable speeds :P

Warm towels out of the dryer

The first slice of pizza out of a box

When all of the socks match

Sleeping in your own bed after a long absence

Stamps. Both kinds and all of them

Using your own currency after a long absence (because what the actual FUCK are the other nations of the world doing??)

Reading "Jane Eyre". Again. Because it's not the same as last time

Winning at Mariokart after preemptive declarations

When the cats do that blinky thing at you, which is supposed to mean that you are trusted, but probably means they are plotting your murder via claw to to the throat

When dogs just are around in general, and they keep hitting you in the leg with their tails, and you get to do that ear flop/scratch thing

Hahaha, that's brilliant!
You are totally right about the cat thing, little sods.
As for Jane Eyre, well it is my favourite book, so I am biased!

That moment before you take off on a plane, when you feel the throttle increase and you're like "ahhh, we're going!!!"

Landing after being away for a while

Hearing the 20th Century Fox Theme, especially when it's before Star Wars

Laughing at this version: http://youtu.be/IsdCGQbbd8k

Taking off pants (and by pants I mean trousers, but just fill in what you want there... That's what she said, etc.)

PLINKO!!!

When you get all the words right to "We Didn't Start the Fire"

Snow days

Jane Eyre is wonderful. It's been one of my favourites since I saw a film adaptation of it on the TV when I was about 7... the book is great. I need to read it again. Mario Kart is a good one too.

I like warm towels as well. And putting on warm pyjamas after a long bath on a cold day.

That first time you sit down on your sofa after being on your feet for a long time.

Cheese on toast.

Waking up early, then realising that you don't have to be up and can go back to sleep.

That time of year when its finally warm enough to drive with the windows down and the radio up but its not hot and humid yet. Its incredibly sunny and you breathe in the fresh crisp air and smile because all is right with the world at that moment..

Watching the opening game of football season with my bros...

Saturday farmers market...

Sunday morning yoga...

Weird one...weeding my garden while its drizzling.

Yes and no. I would be 1000% in agreement if we could just add "bra" to the list of removal items. Ahh, nothing like it.
