Josephine review

Post by Watergirl » Mon Oct 19, 2015 3:24 pm

I thought singles reviews were a thing of the past but I came across this in the latest issue of Irish music mag Hot Press. It's not the "Track of the fortnight" - that's Therapy?'s 'Deathstimate' - but it's the first review after that. Can't find it online so I'll just copy.
Review by Edwin McFee.

The former Million Dead frontman has spent the last ten years forging an impressive career for himself as a folk punk hero and worthy successor to the likes of Billy Bragg and Joe Strummer. His new single sees the Englishman turn the energy up a notch and it's a hugely uplifting effort with a wonderful, rallying chorus. Peppered with synths and gang vocals, it's the perfect antidote to a dose of the Autumnal grumps and is an absolute world beater.
