With a 1.5 hour wait between doors and showtime goofy rewrites may happen:

It being the springtime of the year,
The flowers were freshly blooming.
A young man from my home country
Fell in love with Barb and Allen.

This young man took sick and he went to bed,
And he called out for Barb and Allen.
They came to him and softly said:
"Young man we think you are dying."

"I am not dying!" the young man said.
"One kiss from you would cure me!"
"One kiss from us you'll never see,
Though we thought that you're heart was breaking.

For do you remember last Sunday night,
Out in the ballroom dancing?
You danced all night with the village bride,
And you slighted Barb and Allen."

So they went back to their fathers' homes,
Where they heard the church bell tolling.
And each toll that the bell did ring
Called out for Barb and Allen.

Now they not gone back so very far
When they saw the funeral coming.
"Lay down, lay down the corpse!" they cried,
"So that we may gaze upon him.

Oh father, father, dig our graves,
And dig them deep and narrow.
A young man died for us today,
We shall die for him tomorrow."

So they all were buried in the old churchyard,
But they was buried higher.
And from her grave a red rose grew,
And from their graves a brier.

Awesome version of the unmolested version in DC the other night. Thanks!!!

Another great version of this song. This is quite Gothic, Nico-style. By Olivia Chaney. Nice video too.
