With almost 19000 songs on my iPod this might throw up some interesting stuff...
1. Small Upsetters - Clutch. From the Robot Hive/exodus album. I fucking love Clutch!
2. Pissing in a River - Patti Smith. From the Radio Ethiopia album, which is not as good as Horses IMO.
3. Why's Everybody Always Picking On Me - Bloodhound gang. Ah, teenage years!
4. Queen In Love - Yngwie Malmsteen. Good guitarist, pretentious twat.
5. Seattle - PiL. They were the highlight of Beautiful Days festival 2012!

Can you have 19,000 songs on an actual i-Pod or is that your i-Tunes library?

Providing you have the memory capacity on a shuffle you can, I don't know what the memory is on one though

I have the 160 GB i-Pod. It's not near full yet but I had it in my head that it would fill up at about 15,000. Just discovered I can go a good bit beyond that. Happy days.

It's a 120gb iPod and I think it's got about 5gb still free. Probably gone over 19000 now as I've just put 4 new albums on it.

Red Hot Chili Peppers- Stadium Arcadium- Slow Cheetah- Took be a while to get into this album but there are some great songs on it (Readymade), this one is a nice, new melodic Chili's song.
Red Hot Chili Peppers- By The Way- Tear- Hmm, nice shuffling. To be fair this song is another beaut, kinda similar.
Led Zepp- The Battle of Evermore- I've never got that into Zepplin really. I had to listen to this song to know what it was. Not really by thing.
Queen- A Night At The Opera- You're My Best Friend- That's better, some classic Queen. Fuck I'd like to have seen these live.
Metallica- Master of Puppets- Yeah, see I like heavy shit too!
If you're oh so fucking different, who cares what you have to say?

Finally, hit shuffle and didn't get a times table song (I have kids) or One Direction (one's a girl) or a 'classic' like 'The Fox' - Ylvis...so yes, I have cheated but you really don't want my thoughts on what the fox says...

Sweet Sour - Band of Skulls
This was why I decided to pay attention to the shuffle. With BoS in the mix, who cares if the other 4 tracks are dodgy. Russell Marsden = guitar god (especially live). Stumbled across these guys when 'Death by Diamonds & Pearls' was used on a tv ad - got to love Shazam.

Paradise (Coldplay cover) - Modestep
Better than the original. Atypical song from an atypical dubstep band. These guys are lovely & loud live.

Drive - Kids in Glass Houses
Not particularly outstanding, but I do have a small soft spot for these guys (and have just noticed 48 of their tracks on my phone; not that small a soft spot then). Haven't decided if I should catch them on their farewell tour. What do you reckon?

Nicotine - Panic! at the Disco
Sounds amazing live. My husband reckons I took most my Panic! photos during the encore; don't know why, as if Mr Urie taking his top off would speed up my pic taking.

Elvis Ain't Dead (Radio 1's live lounge version) - Scouting For Girls
Classic pop. Haven't come across another band that makes heart ache sound so upbeat. And I rate highly any band who takes time out of their festival runs to play small free festivals.

Oasis - Whatever
Reliveing my youth
Some Ministry of sound thing
Probably for my running, not even sure i've listened to it
Frank Turner - Four Simple Words
Needs no explanation
Beethoven: Piano concerto #5
I like it
Richard Cheese - Brass Monkey (Beastie Boys)
Who doesn't love a bit of Dick Cheese

1. Of Montreal - Gronlandic Edit
2. MGMT - The Youth
3. Radiohead - Exit Music (For A Film)
4. Green Day - She
5. Idlewild - Take Me Back to the Islands

13,000 songs on my iPod (120 by Frank), from the 60s to the present. These five are interesting, but mainly recent. Have to do this again in a week or so.
