This is a VERY rough draft as I'm tired - just got back from Leeds Fest, and I'm only just starting to flag. It doesn't have the 'Please, take a polaroid picture' outro bit, but here is almost all of Polaroid Picture. I believe it is correct so far.

Please excuse any typos, both in this post and in the tab - like I said, I'm tired. Also, I'm using the lyrics I first deduced from the live videos so I will update tomorrow when I finish the tab off.

I got bored of not knowing how to play this song (I've known the intro for a while, but not the whole song) so I decided it needed to be done. Enjoy.

---EDIT---
It's still pretty rough, but it's done 100% now. Hopefully it makes total sense to people (I realise I have a strange tabbing style haha).

There are already a couple up but I've just submitted this to Ultimate Guitar. It's -- finally - The Way I Tend to Be. It's a bit rough in places so any advice on how to improve would be good. Overall though I feel it's better (and more accurate) than the current tabs that are uploaded :)

Enjoy

Just seen your polaroid picture tab. Thanks so much for these always wondered what they weird chords were. Keep it up, nobody else goes as in-depth as you do with frank tabs.

If you're ever looking for suggestions, We Shall Not Overcome would be great to learn.

Next up will probably be 'Wherefore Art Thou, Gene Simmons?' and 'Plain Sailing Weather'. PSW just needs to work out one or two little bits - the intro/verse is sorted, the pre-chorus is 80% I just need to make sure one chord and the progression is right, a few random little bits here and there need working on but the outro-y bit "And when you see me for all that I am" is sorted. It sounds pretty sweet; even acoustically :)

Gene Simmons is pretty much done, just need to make sure I have the picking pattern right for the "Not that I can point a finger" areas and the picking pattern with the G end of the "whoa, Gene Simmons" bits. The bridge needs a bit of work, but not much. I'd say they're both almost done. I just need to find the time to sit down with my guitar and figure out the little bits here and there.

I'll certainly take a look at We Shall Not Overcome, I THINK (from memory) it is pretty basic, but I could be wrong, I've never actually listened deliberately for the guitar so we'll have to wait and see.

I'm going to do a quick write up of Tattoos, because the tabs up at the minute are pretty much right, but they don't have the kind of riff/strumming pattern that is in the studio version.

---

I've rambled enough for now - I'm going to bed :')

I couldn't sleep last night, so I stayed up for a few hours working out This Town Ain't Big Enough for the One of Me from crappy online videos. I have it about 80% done, just a few times there is a B7 chord, but I'm not sure if has the e string open or on the second fret, making it a B7add11. That and the descending note in the E chord progression of 'bored of this town, bored of this scene, bored of these people, yeah'. I should - hopefully - have it all worked out later on today and then I'll tab it all up and upload it here :)

I LOOOOOVE Sweet Albion Blues. I know pretty much entirely how to play it (I'm going to tab it out tomorrow if I have time. For now here are the lyrics that I can make out. It's not laid out 100% perfect as I'm very, very tired right now.

If anyone could help me with the few parts I have a problem with (??), that would be awesome! :)

I was asked by a friend a few weeks back (TheSabatouer on Youtube - maybe he's on the forums here? If not you guys should check him out; he does a lot of Frank covers) to figure out Frank's Fix Me cover - which I did - and now Wessexboy1 has asked for the tab so here it is for anyone else who wants to learn it.

Re: Chords for New Songs

Post by Granty2k12 » Tue Apr 22, 2014 10:21 pm

I hear this song this morning. I LOVE it now! This is easily going to be the 'I Am Disappeared'/'Plain Sailing Weather' of this album. So beautiful and powerful.

Anyway, I'm about to go to bed but here's the gist of the song. All I need is to actually align everything properly tomorrow and work out the pick-y outro

Enjoy! :)

EDIT: It's fully done, a bit sloppy, but for a song that - to my knowledge has been played once - I don't think this is bad. Pretty sure it's all right. Not 100% on the exact strumming pattern of the RIFFs 1 & 2 parts. Other than that, I'm happy with it. Love this song, hope you guys enjoy playing it :)

Of course this is subject to change as Frank may change parts of the song -- The Ultimate Guitar link will be u when it's approved :)

Surprised how quickly this was approved: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/f/frank ... ns_crd.htm

Working on Little Aphrodite. I have the chords for the intro and verse and the picking pattern shouldn't be too hard to decipher. Have a busy couple days but this shouldn't take too long :)

EDIT: I have all the chords worked out (pretty sure about everything except one little descending change in the bridge) but still not sure when I'll have time to work on the picking pattern. Shouldn't be too long, though! :)
I've favoured on live video over another so the lyrics may be a tad different if you listen to the other version played. Tiny changed like 'you followed' rather than 'beckoned' for example. Pretty sure the lyrics are right, too :)

VERSE
Well, I remember on the first night I met you
You brushed past my arm at the bar
And suddenly it felt like somebody somewhere
Scratched their keys down the side of my heart

A heart that had been stuck in traffic
At some interminably unchanging red light
You beckoned me off down a side street
And welcomed me into the night

CHORUS
'Cause you're weary and you're wise like Athena
Like Artemis wild and free
You carry yourself like you're Hera
But quietly you'll always be little Aphrodite to me

VERSE
And I remember on the first night I met you
How could I ever forget
You were trading me/my drinks for across the bar winks
Like some secret/rumour that I hadn't heard yet

When I stumbled into you outside
I said that I was sorry but that was kind of a lie
I'd been waiting for you and I knew that you knew
But you still laughed and you still acted surprised

BRIDGE
Well, it's (pretty?) ridiculous for me to be saying that I'm sure
But if I had an apple to give, wlel it would be yours
And the others would rage as I turned them away
While I follow you down to the sshore
For you I'd star a war
So darling yes I'm sure

You're weary and you're wise like Athena
Like Artemis wild and free
You carry yourself like you're Hera
But quietly you'll always be little Aphrodite to me
Little Aphrodite to me

Finally gotten around to working out Plain Sailing Weather (some of you will be happy to hear!) pretty much just typing it up now. Shouldn't be long! :)

EDIT: Just over 2 hours, that's not too bad. Pretty sure this is all right, though a few of the Gs might be open G5s and some Ds may be open D5s or Dsus2s. I will check in the morning as I'm dead. It's a tad messy and I'll try and tidy it up if I can, but finally! Here is Plain Sailing Weather, as accurate as I can make it out! :)

-INTRO-
             B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
Just give me one fine day of plain sailing weather

It was a wonderful life when we were together
    D/F# RIFF 1 A5~
And now I've fucked up every God damn thing

-VERSE-
        B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
Amelie lied to me

This was supposed to be easy
            B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1 D/F# RIFF 1
I found the one damn person to help me fall asleep in the night
              B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
Sleeping gets tiring
                         D/F# RIFF 1
And dark reminds me of dying
       B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
And as long as this feeble heart is still beating
         D/F# RIFF 2
You will find me rushing through all the rooms
                       A5 RIFF
Switching on all the lights

    F# RIFF B RIFF 2
The problem with showing your lover your scars
        G RIFF 3 D7M/A RIFF
Is that everybody's lover is covered in scars

-VERSE-
 A B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
Things got fractious
             D/F# RIFF 1
And I felt faithless
        B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1 D/F# RIFF 1
At that moment just before the dawn when everything falls apart
                    B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
But, baby, I didn't mean it
                     D/F# RIFF 1
For things to get desparate
  B RIFF 1 G RIFF 1
I let down my guard, let slip the rudder
          D/F# RIFF 1
Now we're drifting in the curent away from one another

                                  D~
And I've been skirting round the rim

Of doing something brave
             F#m~ Bm

You fold your hands speak my name like

And when you see me for all that I am
                Gm* RIFF D* RIFF

Wow! I hope this thread isn't dead! :(
Anyway, I've edited the Sweet Albion Blues tab into the previous post with it. I just need to work out the bridge riff bit. I know the notes but there is an E (2nd fret, D string) played after some (all?) of the notes so I just need to get the timing right on that, then it'll be done and I'll upload it to Ultimate Guitar :)
