TV theme

Post by Keith B » Wed Aug 30, 2017 12:51 pm

I was flipping between channels recently & caught the start of a kids cartoon called The Floogals . Now is it just me or does the theme tune sound exactly like Recovery? Does Frank have a second job writing TV themes or are the writers of this FT fans? I think we should be told! :

If Taylor Swift is crediting Right Said Fred for her latest track and Blurred Lines was deemed to have nabbed hooks then this isn't just similar it's a straight up copy of it. How odd

BLIMEY ... the a capella version sounds even more similar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnwdghReLao

The whistling at the start is identical to the opening of Recovery ...

Was having a look through posts on the Studio that made its Facebook and saw this when someone there also mentioned FT :
As previously mentioned, we are an animation company that provided storyboarding on this project. Had nothing to do with the music or the production side of it. Having said that it is very unlikely that a project of this dimensions where copyrights are always so well protected that the music created has been used without following the right procedure.

Well, "right procedure" or not, that IS the same melody.
