Vintage Yum!!

Post by 1905 » Thu Aug 28, 2014 3:50 pm

Hola Frank!

I have been collecting high quality, vintagey silk screened, limited edition band poster/prints for a while now... Most are signed & i love that added design element the signatures & messages look!! They are an excellent way of adding unique, one-of-a-kind "adultish" decor to my home but at the same time, the awesome memories assigned to the particular show or tour keeps me "young"!

So my question is.... have you ever released limited edition (numbered) prints that go along with your tours?? If so, are they able to be purchased anywhere?
And if not, will you consider doing in the future? .... Would you ever consider accepting submissions for the art?

Thanks for your time!!

That was a terrible poster if you ask me.

There is also a number done for US tours. I have one with a type writer and a woman (maybe)??? It's not hanging up so I can only just remember what it looks like.

I have that framed and up on the wall, it's just kinda understated which suited the mood of that show I guess.

There was also a SIFTW tour poster that I have, and the Wembley show one which was ace I thought.

I am sure it looks lovely in the frame, but I just remember there was all this talk about doing a one off poster for that show and I was all excited about getting hold of it...only to turn down a copy when I saw it...or did I? Maybe I actually have one anyway...or did I give it away...dunno...but either way, I thought it could have been much better

Can't say I was a fan of the union chapel poster, I didn't buy either.

The guy who did the artwork for POTD released some prints of the front and inner artwork. Those were nice, I have the inside one on my wall.

Chris Bourke was his name and he did have a limited run of 100 selling on his site, but I think it's sold out. I got number 77. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... ae738d18ce (only picture I have of it)

I got print #1!

I also think I have the Union Chapel poster if that's the one that was given away with the Take To The Road DVD.

There was also a tour poster for the May 2011 solo tour.

If you'd ever consider selling that please drop me a line. I have a thing for low numbered stuff.

Sell it? No chance! I haven't even got round to framing it yet.
