Wading through the line up.
Just spotted that Beans On Toast will play on Friday on a stage called Hell. Clashing with the War On Drugs?

I'll be catching Jay in shangrila (where the hell stage is).

I remember the days you'd see his name on 4+ stages.

At least he got on the bill this year without having to write a song about how he isn't playing Glasto

There is an interview with Michael Eavis in today's Guardian. Viv Albertine asks the following question:
"You were the first person to mix extremely diverse musical genres on the same bill. How did you have the confidence to do that?"

Michael Eavis' reply:
"I think that was a gradual thing really. We've changed as fashions change, and in a way we've just tried to follow the trends of youth culture. Actually, I tried to stick to the stuff I like, but people wanted more of this or that, and then my kids would say, "We like dance music, we want a dance village!" I'd say, "Awww, but I don't like it though!" and they'd reply "It's not about you, it's about us!" So we've changed things like that. My own tastes are not diverse, not realy. I like Neil Young, do a bit of Elvis, and a bit of Van Morrison.... sometimes I do try to vary it by having a little go at Frank Turner though".

Well well...

We should start some sort of campaign to get Eavis to personally arrange for Frank to play Glasto.

There was a campaign to get Anvil to play a few years ago, but the organizers didn't budge.

Scroobius Pip asked Frank about Glastonbury in his podcast, but then interrupted several times when Frank tried to answer, so none the wiser as to his thoughts on this now...

Evan is very quiet on this topic, surely there must be a comment sooner or later.

I am not going to Glastonbury. So I couldn't give a monkeys if he plays.

I'm sure he'll play this year. Always seems to be the years I can't go that he does.

I've never seen frank play at glastonbury. And I've only missed two years since 1995.
