Yoga

Post by Gleena » Sat Aug 31, 2013 12:35 pm

Hi Frank,

Did you pick up yoga from Al Barr by any chance? And if so, can you make it work with The Transplants? :)

He did brag somewhere (Instagram? Twitter? can't remember) he had a bunch of you guys down on the floor, doing yoga while Skinhead Rob shouted in the background. (I love The Transplants, but cannot do yoga with them on.)

Indeed I did, though I've had to stop because of my back injury.

Hopefully you get back to it! It helps my back when it's not flaring up.

All I do is hot yoga now, though.

And thanks, that was quick service with the answer!

I am told that Pilates is great, can't say I have tried it though...good for core body strength.

Two years ago I had back problems and it couldn't be fixed by an operation. I've got a kid with a wheelchair and so I need to be able to carry him a lot. My neighbour is yoga instructor an we worked something out. And after doing my yoga exercises for about 3 months by back was not only better, it was good.

I work as cabin crew so I spend much of my time lifting passengers bags up and down. I've only been in the job 6 months but I can feel my back, which has always been in good condition, starting to get painful and weaker. Plus it's time to get back into the habit of yoga. Any one with recommendations/links to suitable yoga for strengthening the back?

haven't done it myself (yet), but yeah, lots of people like it.
