Glastonbury?

Post by bobbyrooney » Thu Mar 28, 2013 2:20 am

How come you weren't announced?!
Literally everyone is confused by this! I was shocked when you never played in 2011 too, something personal or just not asked?

Personally - and I know this is not cost effective etc ... but ....

I think you should ask Jay to put you on as a secret act in the Strummerville campfire.
It would literally bring the whole area to a standstill.

I'd bet a fiver that part of his Reading/Leeds contract is that he can't play at certain other festivals. I dont know this, but I would guess.

Or he didnt get asked.

Mmmm, that avoids the 'Frank or the Stones' dilemma (unfortunately).

If I had a ticket, there'd be no dilemma for me. Rolling Stones would be easy winners

I'd agree with this.... I'd happily drop a few hundred in the morning if I had it on me to fly to London again to see Frank live again, gonna be going to Dublin in May again, but that's because that few hundred is made up of lots of little things, tickets, hotel, travel etc.

I couldn't justify ever spending 80+ On just going to see The Rolling Stones on one of their stadium tours (out of my hatred of Stadiums) so they'd have to win at the festival...

I doubt that's offensive to Frank, in fact, of any recording artist I think he'd understand. :)
I'd rather be the one who loves than to be loved and never even know.

Well, I have a ticket and I'll just have to go and see the Stones then (damn....).
Am actually really looking forward to Nick Cave and Primal Scream. I am a long-time fan of both but haven't seen them for a couple of years.
