Does the name Mongol Horde mean anything to you and if so, do you think they'll be playing Reading as well as Leeds this year?

Looked at the twitter - there's a tweet mentioning Natalie Portman, who has been named in an interview as the subject of a song from the hardcore band...

..... And the reference to the Turk (Matt Nasir?? )

"We seem to have a Turkic guy in the band. "

and the reference to a Pale Horse (Ben Dawson??)

"And instead of a decent Mongolian pony we've a massive, pallid looking horse..."

and of course all the history references.... anyone know a history geek? (FTHC?)

could all be a wind up of course....

Now tweeting YouTube links to hot snakes and Jesus lizard songs - both of whom were mentioned in descriptions of the band.

Am I reading too much into this????

I'm pretty sure this is the side project.

Here is their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mongolhordemusic
Members: Nadir, Awesome, Renrut. --> Nadir and Renrut is just too obvious! :D

And Mongol Horde is already listed at both the Reading and Leeds Line Up!

So Mr. Turner, you just could have told me that on sunday when I asked about Reading!!!

I thought renrut was Ben just said in a very fooked up voice. I now feel like an idiot

I do notice though that Ulan Bator is an anagram of Banal Tour. Hmmm.
I'd rather be the one who loves than to be loved and never even know.

This is the best response I have read on this page ... hats off to you mate :')

As I've said before, I don't think they are trying to hide who they are - I mean the guy on the video seems to have Frank's tattoos and ... face. On the other hand, I also don't think they're trying to publicise it - I think they would rather be judged on their music than whatever else they are, or have been, involved in.
