Wembley Timings

Post by jsweeting24 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:38 am

Hey Frank,

Just a quick question. I was wondering if you knew (roughly) what time the gig will start and what time you'll be on/off the stage? Just so I have an idea on what trains to catch etc etc.

Cheers.

At a guess I would say

6.20 - 6.40 Beans on Toast

7.00 - 7.40 - Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip

8.00 - 8.40 - Billy

9.00 - 11.00 Frank and Co
06 06.3 08.8
07 04.4 11.5 17.5 08.6 10.11
08 28.3 21.04 13.6 06.7 06.9
09 11.1 06.2 21.4 10.10 29.10
10 23.3 16.7 12.12
11 12.2 12.5 30.5 27.11
12 13.4 28.11 28.12x2
13 10.1 24.6 11.7 12.7
14 12.2 13.2 14.9 17.12
15 29.1 02.2 13.8 7.11
16 10.12 12.12

Since set up for The Sleeping Souls is the only thing that needs full band I think the break between artists will be only around 10 mins for most but then 15 between Billy and Frank. I'd love for Beans to get at least 40 mins.

doors are at 6, Jay is on at 7. I'm on at 9.30. Not sure of times in between just yet but I'll post them on the blog as and when I have them.
Shows? All of em.

15 minute changeover? Ha! Usually at least 30mins between support and headliner.

Ah yeah, I get that, but this is a pretty unusual gig over all. How many bands put on a show with 4 supports? None of the three supports use a huge amount of equiptment, with Jay using a guitar and mic stand, Billy roughly the same and DLS Vs SP using mic's, laptops and synths maybe.

Franks stuff could all be set up behind a curtain or something and then it could be a really quick changeover...one can hope...

I don't know if its the same for DLS vs SP but when I saw Scroobius Pip on his own, as well as laptops and synths, he had a guitarist and a drummer.

Plus the half hour change over gives people time to buy pints to throw when Frank takes to the stage (never understood why you'd pay £4 for a pint and then lob it over people as soon as a band comes on) and to build anticipation.

Stop it! :P I just want the gig to run from one person to the next no breaks until just before Frank for the aforementioned anticipation!

And I really really want beans to get more than 20 mins, (though to be fair he could do 15 songs in that time :D)

One way or another, I am excited as hell for this and it's not too far off!!!!

And RE those people who think throwing pints is fun, they should be relieved of their heads, they're not exactly using them for anything productive anyway.

Lobbing pints at Frank or over anyone else ???? - first gig I went to someone hurled a bottle at him - let's just say he wasn't thrilled. he couldn't have been clearer so much so that in that split second I thought "you're hired!" he'd isolated the miscreant & the rest of us were on side. Next gig I'm watching from the side of the stage & there's that look again because this time the contents have landed short of their target onto those in front. It would be great if I could bottle that skill & give it to newly qualified teachers.

I've been on the fence about Franks new Hardcore venture with Ben and Matt until just this second, I fucking love ben for that. I want to see at least one show of them raping face with whatever it is they plan to do.
