For Your Consideration

Hey Frank,

I know you have on occasion covered songs made famous by bands from the city or state in which you're performing. Now many terrific songs have paid tribute to some of the fifty states, but to my thoroughly biased ears, none so perfectly captures the musical essence of a locale as does "Roadrunner" by Boston's Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers (see above link). Even the Sex Pistols were discerning enough to recognize its greatness and subsequently recorded it. I know you're headed this way for multiple appearances and thought I'd just offer up this suggestion. And I realize that in your capacity as the opening act, your setlist is unfortunately limited. If not on this tour, perhaps at your next Middle East show in Cambridge, sir?

See you down the road.

Oh, and I know you guys would also thoroughly kick ass with "Dirty Water", an ode to Boston.
