Selling CD's

Post by tampateri » Thu Sep 22, 2011 11:47 am

I'm pretty new here so I apologize if this has been asked before...

Frank, do you make more money from CD's that you sell at shows? My husband and I typically wait to go to a show to purchase CD's because we (maybe wrongly) feel like the artist will get more money out of it.

actually yes, i do, a little. i have to say though that i'm a fan of people getting hold of music (legitimately) in the easiest way for them. but it's nice of you to ask!
Shows? All of em.

There's a nice feeling about buying it at a gig too.

there really is. you can pop it in and listen on your ride home and instantly re-live moments of the show. i've been a fan of a major band for years and i don't think they sell cds at their shows and you can't get anywhere near them so it's refreshing to have Frank to go see (and talk to)
