It'll be the tree on Randolph St. All that's left of Springsteen's childhood home.
Well, there's no tree on the sleeve, and his pose is all wrong. But apart from that it's pretty cool I suppose.....*grumbles in envy*

Ha ha, It sure is! I think it's 39 & 1/2 Institute Street actually (his second[?] home which is still there) & it is the tree on that picture sleeve:

http://www.nj.com/insidejersey/index.ss ... _here.html

http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=spring ... =101&ty=79

There is a pic of him leaning on that tree somewhere too, maybe the back of the same sleeve?

Now talking of Bruce & I know this is a very longshot indeed posting here, but if any Frank fan on here has 2 spare tickets for Bruce at Leeds Arena on 24th July, please let me know or get in touch. This is the hardest ticket since I've been going to as many Bruce shows as I can by a country mile. 4 people trying for me in the general sale pulled NOTHING! There are tons of Bruce fans needing tickets on his ticket exchanges & yet as always EBay & Viagogo have hundreds at vastly inflated prices.

I've actually got in but am so desperate to get my 2 friends in there that I'd even trade my GA for 3 seats (even in the back row of the place) & the balance of course.

Amy worked in a bar in Exeter, Springsteen came clear in my headphones - Frank, did you write these lyrics for me?

Frank,
Are you still looking at this thread? Somewhere back near the start, you were surprised that someone mentioned Tunnel of Love as a favorite, and said that you'd have another go. Have you? That album came out when I was in high school, and it just didn't resonate with me at the time. Now that I'm older, I think it's a masterpiece. I had to experience some of the subject matter to be ready to hear what he was saying. From what I've heard of Tape Deck Heart, it sounds like you're ready now too. When you broke out Tell Tale Signs at Webster Hall, I wanted to simultaneously jump on stage and give you a hug, and slap the shit out of that Amy girl.

Bruce has started his tour down under. As far as 'place appropriate covers' go, they don't get more brilliant than this! I always loved this song. Can't stop hitting replay....

"Turner clearly has his passions, a fact underlined by his fifth and best solo album, Tape Deck Heart, released this week. Recorded with Muse producer Rich Costey in Burbank, LA, it's a brutally open breakup record inspired by Arab Strap, the National and what Turner calls Bruce Springsteen's "brave and excoriating" 1987 divorce album Tunnel of Love."

Looks like whoever encouraged Frank to listen to Tunnel of Love in this thread might have inspired the new album!

And in Portuguese, from São Paulo: 'Sociedade alternativa'.
This is taking place appropriate covers to a whole new level.

P.S. Apologies for posting all these Bruce links. Bruce and Frank do have quite a few fans in common though....
I started a thread about Frank on Springsteen forum Backstreets in August 2011, and that is now on its 35th page. Quite a few 'converts' there.

Sometimes I feel a bit guilty bring up Bruce as much as I do on this forum, and also when I've spoken with Frank, and then I remember that half my posts on backstreets.com/btx are about Frank. And if I happen to bump into Bruce somewhere? Yeah, I'll probably want to discuss Frank with him.

I'm new here and when I read the first couple pages of this thread I had similar reactions because I really like Tunnel Of Love, so it's great to see that he embraced such a well written album about love, loss and relationships.
My personal Springsteen Top 5(not really in any order, I have a hard time making decisions):
Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ
Tunnel Of Love
Devils & Dust
Wrecking Ball
Lucky Town

New album out January 14!!!!!! Very excited.
It will include 'Dream baby dream' (Suicide) and 'Just like fire would' (the Saints). Bruce hasn't released covers for a long time. These will be great.

Nice Huffington Post article about the Boss.
It echoes things Frank has been saying about everyone being welcome at gigs and them being all inclusive events.
