Cardiff Accommodation

Post by Smoking Jim » Tue Aug 30, 2016 11:20 am

Any recommendations of places to stay in Cardiff, hopefully near the venue with decent public transport links? I've booked digs for Coventry (night before) and Oxford (night after) but Cardiff seems hella expensive everywhere I've looked (perhaps something else on the same night)

It will be, the rugby is on. Wales V South Africa. Bummer!
Newport is only a 15 minute train away and the travelodgical is right by the station.

Cardiff accommodation is ridiculously expensive all year round thanks to stag and hen do's. Newport and Bridgend are both easily reachable by train, and they usually run more often and later after a rugby match but catching one after an international can be an experience. I've been to gigs after a rugby game in town and they are the worst, but there is always an exception, and that's usually Frank.

I usually stay here in Cardiff.

The price and availability varies a bit depending on what is on but worth checking.
