I imagine Scunthorpe to be a not terribly nice place. I have no idea of course, but I have never heard anyone remark on how wonderful it is.
Wikipedia says something about industrial / steel town, which might be a bleak place, but I'm from "The Ruhr" which has a similar history and we do have a lot of lovely places. Still many ugly ones too though, I admit it.

The funny thing is, that my first idea of Scunthorpe was more like something out of a Jane Austen novel. I blame the "-thorpe".

Mate went to uni in Warrington and I visited a few times. Pretty bleak back then. Maybe improved now though.
The venue looks pretty cool in Warrington, which is my number 1 reason for wanting to go.

Parr hall is a nice venue, took the mrs there as a surprise for an Imelda may gig before flying off to Amsterdam not much around it but all you need is a bar and good company

Who's around for the Dublin gig? It's my birthday weekend, I have never been to Dublin, and so it seemed like a good idea... to go on my own... ummm. Yeah, company required!

I think I can stretch the student loan for a trip to Carlisle, public transport dependant. Nice variety of towns on this tour. I'll probably have to sell my kidney to fund show 2000 though.

So chuffed to have got Salisbury and Portsmouth tickets. Not least when I realised that this would also make Show 2000 my show #20 - like Bobstains above, I may well be selling my vital organs/ grandmother/ first born child to get there!

How have you got tickets?

I've not had the pre-sale link yet!

Amy worked in a bar in Exeter, Springsteen came clear in my headphones - Frank, did you write these lyrics for me?
