Germany gigs

Post by DresdenTwitch » Fri Aug 14, 2015 9:13 am

Hello,

Has anyone had luck getting tickets for the Germany shows in September? So far it feels like 4 people got lucky. Well anyway, does anyone have an extra Berlin Ticket?

I refreshed the page like a lunatic and luckily got my Berlin ticket. It sucks to see to many people bummed out. :(
I mean I love small shows but I think they should upsize the venues.

I was so bummed out to not even see tickets available at any point after 10 am and had almost given up. But hopelessly (or desperately) optimistic as I was, I kept refreshing the "not available at the moment" pages for quite some time after all and at some point after 11 I got lucky and was able to buy 2 tickets for Cologne. About 30 minutes later it all was officially sold out.

Yes - I picked up three tickets for Munich dead on 10am. But they seemed to be sold out in minutes.

There were a few problems with the site - at one point I got this page:

Unfortunately I wasn't lucky enough to get some tickets today... :( I was there minutes before 10am, but had no chance at all. If anyone got a spare ticket for the Hamburg gig please get in touch with me. I'd be very happy about it. :D Thank you!

You were able to buy three tickets? That shouldn't have been possible. According to Frank's tour announcement on facebook, two tickets per person should have been the limit - but you could choose up to ten tickets. I asked them (eventim staff) about that. First reply: We didn't know about a limit. Second reply: We were told about a different limit. Ridiculous and disappointing.

I didn't know about any limit. I was looking for myself, wife and daughter - selecting three was certainly possible - can't recall the maximum allowed.

The limit wasn't mentioned on eventim.de and you could select up to ten tickets (at least for Hamburg), so I have to assume that some people bought more than two tickets, maybe even up to ten, while I wasn't able to put one or two tickets into the shopping basket when they went on sale at 10 am. I was aware that it wouldn't be easy to buy tickets because the venue is tiny, but the way the ticket sale was handled was definitely not okay.

At least no tickets have surfaced online as of yet. Makes me hope that it were fans and not scammers who bought them.
(I could have easily bought up to ten tickets for Berlin as well.)

Before checking out there was a point where you had to choose for getting the tickets personalized. I never had this before. This might prevent the usual ticket problems.
I hate this place but i love these chords

I had this recently when I bought tickets for Anti-Flag. You have to write in your name and that's it. I doubt that this will help in the long run.

Yeah, it seemed a bit odd to me - are we supposed to write it on the ticket ourselves? Because that way, I can't see how this is doing anything against scalping, at all...

I've seen tickets offered on marketplace plattforms by now for up to 150 EUR, which is 5x the face value! ARGH! This is making me soooooooo mad! I know we can't really do anything about it, but vent! Which I'm doing with this post. Sorry  I'm so glad Friday was a lucky day for me and I got tickets from the offical German ticket site eventim.

There's a special place in hell for people like that. This aggravates me so much.

My ticket hasn`t arrived yet but that's what you do. You write it in yourself. Would have been much smarter to print it on it. But even then you could sell them.

I was at a huge concert once where the tickets actually had the names printed in but nobody ever checked it against an ID at the doors. At least we weren't checked. Maybe they did check some occasionally but it would take too much time to ID check everyone of thousands of guests. I have a tiny hope at least that these measures deterr some of the 'casual' scammers. The 'professional' ones just laugh about it, I'm afraid.
