Sonisphere

Post by Evan » Sun Jul 06, 2014 2:15 pm

Did anyone go?

I would say it was a total triumph. They played excellently, there was a sizeable audience, no one threw anything, and there was even a pit. It was a good time.

Of course. For a moment there I forgot that the world revolves around me.

I WENT AND I AM SUPER AWESOME!!!

I missed Slayer though, which is annoying (through a combination of visiting the car and talking to a relatively tipsy Colin from Hundred Reasons who wished to reminisce about being teenagers).

They played Ideas... in full, as they were due to a few years back but it got cancelled. Larry literally ran into the booker about 6 weeks ago and they struck a deal. Colin assured me it's not to be repeated.

Totally passed me by. Colin and I were friends way back when, but went our separate ways as people do. I didn't even know he was in the band until years later, and they were never really my thing

I didn't go, I wanted to though if that's any consolation.

Makes no odds to me what you do with your time, Bob.

I was there! I was the one in the Iron Maiden tshirt.

Half way through the Anthrax set I wasn't sure that they could follow, but they slammed it - as always. Not a bad word from the crowd, lots of singing/dancing/clapping along.

Couldn't see how far back the crowd went, but the front was packed.

I'd be very happy if they started gigging again on a more regular basis, I wouldn't mind some new material either. Both them and Hell is for Heroes are still big favorites of mine.

No chance apparently. Zero.
