Jonah Matranga UK tour

Post by carrie » Fri Jun 06, 2014 9:19 pm

Hey folks,

I'm sure many of you saw Frank some years back on the Softcore Tour with Jacob Golden (where's he these days?), Joshua English and Jonah Matranga.

Jonah has just released a new album, and is heading to the UK for some dates in July / Aug. I saw him in Nottingham a few months ago, and he truly was incredible. There's no one like him and his approach to 'it all'. I jumped at the chance to book him for a Nottingham date in August, hopefully some of you may fancy it. Got some great supports too, if anyone is looking for some new music to fall in love with.

Jonah is now officially in the UK! Played Brixton last night, and is here for the next couple weeks. Anyone planning on hitting a show?

I'm going tonight. Also trying to find him a Cardiff gig for August.

He was superb. Told a nice story about frank too.

I'm getting so excited now. He's apparently back in the Autumn to play fully electric with the help of strangers, which sounds like it could be fun.

Good luck on the last minute Cardiff show!

Don't you live in / near Devizes? How is it spelt wrong on your list / poster?! Shameful...

Yes I do! It's because he spelt it phonetically, and I didn't correct him because I'm not anally retentive!

Here's some audio of the Devizes show... It was ACE!

Don't you mean 'aase'? If you're going to be wrong, it's better to be consistently wrong.

Wish there was a 'like' button on this forum, so I could show my appreciation of a witty comment without having to post an inane reply.
