I think there's a national express coach from Manchester to Liverpool at about 12 or 12:30 aswell, used it myself a couple of months ago.
I spotted the national express, I think I'm going to aim to get that so I can get home and get a few hours sleep before work.

H26 and I get in at about 2.30. So plenty of time for pre-gig drinks

Anyone going to the O2 gig with a bit of local London knowledge?

What might be the best way to get back to the Kings Cross area after the gig, should the Tube strike still be going ahead?

Any advice would be appreciated

Mind you, I'd happily walk bare foot to be honest - cant wait for this show!

Anyone after a ticket for tonight at the O2 Arena? I've been left with one spare standing ticket and would rather sell to a fan than a tout (for obvious reasons). Going at face value, if you're interested then message me on here or Twitter (@imcraigoc) - easier to check the latter at work!

When the O2 concert was announced I wasn't sure I wanted to go. Nothing to do with the "sell out" argument, as I have nothing against bigger venues, but I had been to the O2 before and it is just so corporate and un-rock'n roll: Wembley is cool. The O2 is not. The concert also coincided with the 100th birthday of a resident in the nursing home where I work… It was between Frank and Ann (the birthday lady) and Frank won…
Am so glad I went. Loved the changes for these bigger shows: the acoustic part in the middle with the standing bass, the difference between part of the show with guitar and part without, the setlist shake up (seven songs from TDH - good!), the atmosphere, the showbiz stairs (!), the fireworks - all great. The acoustic 'Disappeared' was amazing but also the revamped 'To take you home'. Some songs hit you differently on different nights. I also really liked 'Polaroid picture' this time and 'Broken piano' was fantastic.
Now *I* have run out of superlatives...

You actually ruined my night, my week, my month and possibly my entire year with your politeness and pleasant nature.

Here's a review of the Portsmouth Show. I hope you read it. After you read it, I hope you agree. After that, the world is your oyster.
