Hi Val, I'll come look for you when I get to the venue. Not sure when but I want to hear Sam Russo again so I'll be getting there as soon after doors as I can. :)

Don't worry. I've been to gigs on my own. The hardest part can be getting out your front door. It's fine after that - and can be really freeing. Just you and the music. And if it helps - I don't think Frank would worry about going to a gig on his own. :)
Yes when I started going on my own I met other people who were also going on their own. & at Frank's gigs everyone is very friendly. So now at Frank's gigs there's usually someone & often a lot of people I've met before. Went to see Bad Religion for the first time last night (I'm obviously a late comer as they've around for ages!) & it was a breeze.
To be honest I am really scared about going, but everyone sounds very friendly, you can't miss me as I will be hobbling about with two sticks, feel free to say hi :D !
Thanks guys, this made me feel a bit better about it!

Jeez, just had the most humiliating time on the blower to the Forum. They were telling me they couldn't seat me (I can't stand for very long, not in wheelchair but still mobility/severe pain issues, use sticks), they told me to get a refund. Luckily my hubby took the call and got them to "make an exception" for me.
It is degrading enough to have to ask, let alone beg. Not a great start to my day.
I hope Val and SB aren't having a similar problem!!!

Right, I'll be the slightly younger looking one who needs a haircut, with a 2000 trees t-shirt and purple hoodie... please say hi!

I'm in hospital so can't go. It's atrocious that was their attitude - it's discrimination. Can you email me, Sarah? I work with Attitude is Everything who'd be really interested in knowing why this is their stance.

You should never be made to feel humiliated. I'm so cross!

Thanks so much Suze, so sorry you are in hospital, that is pants.
I was really looking forward to seeing you, you are my inspiration for going tonight.
I will certainly be in touch to feed back.

wow - that was amazing!

Sorry to everyone I spoke to after the show - hope it wasn't too bad for you ... my meds ran out half way through photosynthesis & pain in my hip racked up to 9/10 so I might not have been concentrating and probably I waffeld a lot - sorry...

in my defense - I didn't get much sleep the night before cause I was panicking about the tube journey - thanks for everyone kindness in that respect by the way - i did have a panic attack at Paddington on the way in, the train and tube staff were very helpful as was the nice gentleman stranger at the platform that made sure I got on the tube that went to kings cross in one go and made sure I walked towards kings cross rather than st pancras - so that helped a lot! Its certainly restored my faith in people :-)

the way back today was better. Didn't get to sleep till about 6 this morning cause of my hip. It's still swollen, but nothing like as bad as last night - first travelodge ever to give me free ice for a pack!!! and an extra pillow to stick under it! I'm very impressed!

I've broken my laptop - dropped it on the way out the door to the gig - its showing 20 mins of battery left.. need to leave some for the IT guys to get in and see what they can do, or at worst retrieve... :-(

Thank You very much to everyone I met for their infinite patience and kindness - FT gig buddies are the best :-)

I think, if I stay very very still, I might have found a way to get some charge in to the laptop :-)

Val did you end up going up to the balcony? I saw a lady with a floral skirt but was too shy to say hello.
