In Cologne it'll be about 2000 other guys ;-).

Me maybe. Definitely Dortmund. Wonder why Frank didn't announce these dates yet. They are on sale since more than a week. Maybe he makes an announcement when the whole Europe thing for late summer is clear.

Maybe he has to wait until he has played the dates he has in Germany in the next couple of weeks, before he can announce it.

From the depths of the soul.

John Allen, born in 1984, is technically a trademark offspring of a generation of castingshow-fanatics, but he does not fit this cliché at all. After early musical education, classical piano lessons and years of touring with a number of cover bands, Allen taught himself to play the guitar and started writing original songs. In 2008, Allen started performing his own music, rambling through hazy dives, telling tales and summoning the ghosts of the past. Allen’s songs are honest, mature and lyrically profound and infringe upon the soul. His musical home lies somewhere between vintage singer/songwriterism, folk, country, punk and americana. He himself defines his style as “somewhere between Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Frank Turner”, but also names Tom Waits, Brian Fallon and Chuck Ragan as his major influences.
In his new show, John Allen embraces the darker hours of life, philosophizes with the heroes of his favourite novels, regrets former lovers and discovers the healing powers of music. His new album, “Sounds of Soul and Sin”, was released by Blow Til Midnight Records in 2013.

Press:
“With his smokey voice, Allen squeezes out his honest and lyrical songs (…), grants a deep look into his soul and wins over with haunting melodies.” (Kieler News, 2013)
“Sensational!” (Nassauische Neue Presse, 2010)
