(I don't think I can delete my former post since it has a reply, so I'm just taking my email off.)

LA people - frank tweeted this yesterday:

"at 12PM PST/3PM EST tomorrow (today), 15 tickets will be released for the Hotel Café show and 45 will be released for The Roxy show!"

hope you guys get tickets!

You're a gem for sharing that! Fortunately, one of the staffers at the Hotel Cafe was kind enough to tip off JT and me via email about the noon on-sale, so now we're covered. :-)

When I read that Twitter post yesterday, I was shocked that there had only been 15 available for the HC. Makes me feel even luckier. Definitely a bright spot in an especially exhausting week.

Bah, so they DID release those Hotel Cafe tickets? I sat in front of my computer from 11:30am-12:30pm refreshing and I never saw anything available for purchase. This is AFTER having had tickets in my cart last week and having the show sell out when I went to confirm credit card info.

Managed a ticket to the Roxy at least. Keeping my fingers crossed to somehow stumble upon some extra HC tickets in the coming weeks.

Sorry to have been away a bit, work and other stuff seems to keep interfering with the more fun stuff (like visiting here).

I did get a ticket for the Hotel Cafe, so I'm very pleased. It also drops nicely onto the five days I'm home between two work trips, so everything lined up very well.

I'm going alone, but I bought four seats. I'm waiting to hear back from two people to confirm if they need them from me or not. One of them, I know has been tied up themselves and I suspect hasn't had any opportunity to get back to me. And, I did promise I'd give them the first right to any extras I was able to get.

BUT, when they do respond...if any are not spoken for by those two friends. I plan to circle back here and offer to anyone here who got shut out.
So, I'll try to get an answer from them soon one way or the other and not leave you hanging.
But, I figured that no matter what it would be better to get four and then offer them to folks here, rather than letting some scalper grab them and mark them up double or triple.

More news when I have it...but, I may be able to help one or two people out soon.
JT

Thanks, man! I think I'm set for now, but that may change. In any case, I love that we can help out our little cyber-community here even if it's not going to stop the scalpers. At least we know our tickets will go to appreciative fans (and, in my case, one more first-timer, to maintain my tradition. :-)

Listening to _Love, Ire & Song_ at the moment after a very trying two days and what can I say? It helps. SO looking forward to the shows!

i think thats what im most upset about with nyc selling out SO fast and my ability to only get one ticket is that im unable to drag along a ft virgin! what sold me on frank was his live show so i like to share that experience with others too. ah well. next time hes back ill have to bring double to make up for it ;)

I am so ready for the road trip to LA for the show :-) Analisa or JT... do either of you have any good recommendations for hotels up there? It's going to me, my usual partner in crime and I am dragging along a FT first timer... I am so excited to bring her along. :D

I'm in for Northampton, Clifton Park (my home show!) and NYC. Can't wait.

I'll be in Northampton. We'll be driving almost two hours to get there and are hoping not to get lost in Mass again on the way home like we did in September. We are really excited and up for anything.

Jody-- Sorry, no idea about hotels because I live here, ha. Most of my visiting friends have either been solo and so slept on my futon, or stayed in hostels. Are you going to the Roxy and the Hotel Cafe? Location-wise, though, anything in the West Hollywood or Hollywood area would be fine. Both shows are very near Sunset Blvd. and about five miles apart.

Well, I guess I didn't just tell you anything useful that you couldn't have found on Google Maps--sorry!--but I wish you luck anyway!

Can't wait for the NYC show tonight. I listened to the live taping of his last show at Webster Hall all weekend and couldn't be more pumped.

Planning on a few pre-show beers at the pub next door to Bowery tonight.
