I'm seriously considering hitting up the Boston show at the end of the tour. I have a few friends out that way and I'm long overdue for a visit.

If I 1) didn't have work that weekend and 2) had more easy-going co-workers who would be willing to cover, I'd be all over it, but goddamn my luck...boo.

Hey everyone!

So, our five show adventure is over, and now the compiling of all of the video, and photographs that we took on our adventure! I am putting together a tour DVD for my friends that shared this adventure with me, based on everything we shot...The one thing we didn't get a LOT of is video shot during the sets...

Here is where I can use anyone's help who sees this on the forums...

I am looking for ANY video shot from the following shows: Denver, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Diego...

I am looking for video of all three bands, so if you took vids of Koo Koo Kanga Roo, and The Smith Street Band as well, I would very much like to have those...

IN PARTICULAR, if anyone happened to catch his dedication before The Ballad of Me and My Friends from San Diego...That is VERY important to me!

If you have something, please post back on here, or email me at jeffreycdillon@yahoo.com?

Thank you all in advance,
-Jeff

For those who've already seen shows on this leg of the tour, did you show up for koo koo kangaroo? How are they? Are they seriously the dinosaur stomp band that's on YouTube? I try not to shit on bands just because they're not my thing, but they just seem like a joke YouTube band. It's really odd to pair that with Frank for a tour. Especially with Frank saying not every show is a money making endeavor in the US yet.

Any thoughts/opinions? Is it entertaining?

They do have a song about dinosaurs. I genuinely believe them to be one of the best live bands I've ever seen. They make every show feel fucking awesome straight away. A few people seem to think I'm being "ironic" in some way by having them on tour, but I'm not.
Shows? All of em.

i was skeptical when they started playing, but then by the end of the set i was dancing and having a great time. their song "cat party" is ridiculously catchy.
i still dont quite have their ambition behind the group figured out, i guess the indie childrens educational rap scene is pretty untapped as of right now.

definitely worth checking out. just leave your inhibitions at the door.

Well damn, guess I have to take Frank's word. I'm assuming by your response then they were your choice and not a record label choice. I'm cool with that and will be sure to show up for them. I'm all for feeling fucking awesome 8)

Koo Koo Kanga Roo is the best band you could ever hope to have opening your tour! They are fun, energetic, and they get the crowd excited to be there. If a person can let go of being so serious about life for just a few minutes, and give them an actual listen, and GET INVOLVED with their show...You will not regret it, and it will be the thing you talk about afterward, more-so than Frank and the boys. (Frank, you know I love you...Just stressing a point)

Koo Koo Kanga Roo AND The Smith Street Band were HAND PICKED by Frank for this tour. If you like Frank, then trust him, and see for yourself. :)

I have an extra ticket for Chicago Oct 29. My concert buddy has to work so sadly I will be going alone :-( Is anyone in need of a ticket? I am coming from Milwaukee.
Update: Not anymore! Found a friend!

Re: Koo Koo Kangaroo - MUSIC MUST BE SERIOUS AT ALL TIMES. NO FUN IS ALLOWED.

If they haven't inspired Frank to make a concept album about dinosaurs (cos Retrospective Soundtrack Players seem to be ignoring everyone's suggestions that their next album should be Jurassic Park) then what are they playing at?

One friend said Koo Koo Kangaroo wasn't a band worth seeing while another one said they were. And since I NEVER arrive to a show late, I saw them, laughed and had a blast, became a certified ninja, and PARACHUTES! Seriously, I was SO HAPPY ABOUT THE PARACHUTE.

I'm mad I didn't get their "Unicorns Are Real" t-shirt.

As I said the night of their performance, I wish my life were a Koo Koo Kangaroo Show.
