I'm hoping to visit a friend in San Fran at some point; if Frank goes 'that way' I'm hoping the dates coincide as I'll be out there a little while. And hoping that if they do that I'll manage to get a ticket as obviously won't be able to do the US pre-sale. So many ifs, buts and maybes but would definitely be pretty bloody cool if the stars align and all that bulls**t.

Also, very tempted to stop off in NYC on the way/way back for a few days but don't think I'll manage on my own. Is there anyone here from NYC I can email to ask a few questions?

Thanks all!

Xx

If you would, Mr Turner...

So cool to see everyone's excitement in the UK with the new tour. But holy crap, I am dying with anticipation for the US tour. Never realized how impatient I am. :)

Howdy Americans, sorry to take this off topic but are Phoenix really big enough to headline coachella? Everyone seems to be moaning about stone roses/blur but everyone accepts Phoenix, are they really massive in America? They're pretty small here, not as big as Frank...

I'm no expert, mind you, but they definitely sell out arenas. Known to be a great live band with a faithful following. I Got dragged to a show as a "plus one" and loved it. Very crowd interactive. But I wouldn't call them "massive". Big in California, though. Would certainly put them on same or above level as others at Coachella- Vampire Weekend, Chili Peppers, stone roses, blur, IMHO.
