Anyone else find themselves traveling a lot for Frank?

I live in Manchester and have never seen Frank here. But I've traveled to Cumbria to see Frank, and to London to see Frank for the Wembley show. And I've just bought tickets for Leeds for the upcoming tour as no Manchester date.

It doesn't help that I'm a skint college student though. Anyone else find themselves traveling a lot!?

Yup, but that's kinda the point for me. He did play Manchester at the end of last year...

I'm pretty sure he has a life. He can't be everywhere at once!

Travelled to London twice for shows, Dublin once and Kilkenny once, and seen him both times in Cork (where I'm from), (not the second show he did down in Pine Lodge though :( ).

So my distance would be probably 2500 km just to get to and from London (Gatwick bus/train included)

250 to Dublin.

150 to Kilkenny.

All in I've travelled a shade under 3000 Km for Frank shows :) That's quite decent really :D

I worked out that it's almost exactly 3000 miles I've spent travelling to see Frank.

Shortest distance of about 5 miles, most just over 400 miles.

So I was curious to see what the distances were. Worked it out to be roughly 40,000 miles or 64,000 km. The Los Angeles to London roundtrip was about a quarter of all that.

Good excuse for a holiday - same as following yer footy team to away matches.

I have no idea what you two are on about... I'd never travel anywhere to see Frank play....

thought I had gotten over my lets go across the Country for gigs thing but Frank and Blonde keep announcing gigs they are playing/going to and I will take any excuse for a road trip so yes I have unexpectedly found myself travelling a lot for Frank gigs
Not that I am disappointed by this turn of events, Frank so far has not let me down

impressive
I must find means to head across the pond.

I'm happy to drive a ways to gigs ... road trips are good for my mind and good for my cars. I've done about 3,500 miles/5,600 km this year for Frank gigs, all behind the wheel. Longest was 875-mile drive to St. Louis (then 822 miles home from Bloomington, Ill., after driving to Columbus and Indy in between). Shortest this year Atlantic City (100 miles) ... shortest overall was Philly, which at 47 miles away is my home concert base. All the miles have been well worth it so far ... what better reason to travel? Looking forward to adding more in the fall.
I have seen Frank in England twice, last year, but I think I'd be cheating to count those in my travelling-for-Frank miles, since I didn't know who he was before I made that trip (I went for Muse, and came back with a second music addiction).
