Living in the Isle of Man, every gig bar one has involved planes or ferries. I spoke to Frank at the Barfly the night before Wembley and he said that they were trying to get back to the IOM. Don't think Frank is the kind of guy to fob off a (admittedly slightly drunk) fan. All that said, travelling is all part of the fun of going to gigs, though it does eat up the cash!

I am in the same situation, in college, in Manchester actually and all my money seems to go into seeing Frank,

Seen him in Manchester three times, went to the Wembley gig, going to V Festival (because he's not playing Leeds) and going to the Newcastle gig in November (chose it over Leeds because the Newcastle is a Saturday night, so no shit off the fam for having to miss any days of college)

In the future I hope to continue this trend for as long as Frank continues

I was waiting patiently for Val to make an appearance in this thread.

Myself, just turned sixteen, I haven't had the opportunity to go further than a few miles to see King Frank. That will change as soon as I have the money. :D

Yes, traveled a lot, but I sort of do that anyway. I just try to coordinate gigs with other work opportunities. I've been around the exact coast USA several times and over to London.

Personally, I'd rather not need to always travel if I want to catch a Frank gig, but that has been the only option.

I have travelled quite a bit to see Frank, but also for other gigs and festivals. The trip becomes part of the fun. I try to combine it with work/holidays/family visits, but for Wembley for example I went purely for the gig. And it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. I went by ferry that time and stayed in a hostel.
Going to see Bruce in Italy in a few weeks time. Can't wait! Am also looking forward to meeting up again with a lot of other travelling fans there.

I'm from Tirol/Austria and I travelled three countries all in all about 3500 miles/5600km for Frank.
Shortest way was 218 miles and longest to Copenhagen/Dk was 2337 miles. If I would have more money I'd definitly travelling more for him!

I've travelled from Sarasota to Tampa, 67 miles, Orlando 166 miles, Ft Lauderdale 300 miles and furtherest from here, Philadelphia, 1600 miles!

Thinking of flying to Ireland for his 3 shows on December 6th in Cork, 7th in Galway and 9th in Dublin, along with a high school friend who is itching to see Frank live- is that "doable" for two 50 something's after an international flight?
