what a nasty bunch of twats ... always amazes me how people can be so negative - i generally think its jealousy and the fact that someone has acheived so much make them feel worthless.

it will be amazing hearing 12500 people singing along to ft songs ... especially if there is that walk way i talked of ;)
I don't think I have ever seen anything positive about anything on DiS. I imagine that 80% of it's user's live with their parents and are on there avoiding homework.

Did Frank shit in their coffee or are those pricks always so cuntish they really need to get laid.
I'd rather be the one who loves than to be loved and never even know.

They struggle to compute that 'one of their own' (they all love MD) could ever become popular. Their life slogans are something akin to 'popularity is heresy'

Gutted! I've just moved to Uganda for a year. Knew I'd miss loads of gigs, but wasn't expecting anything this special! Will have to make the most of the Hammersmith gig when I'm back in the UK for the last time until possibly 2013.

Hahah, you want nasty bunch of twats?

Check out this review and subsequent comments for bitter (I saw it on twitter recommending people read it before "wasting hard-earned money" on the gig):

Strip away the unnecessary cuntery and bitchiness, I agree with some of their points, the lyrics he picks out are not high points of the album... but what about the rest of the lyrics... or the music. Sheeeeesh, some people really need to get laid.

Frank, you should talk to your ole buddy Fat mike, NOFX would be a killer support act!

Do most reviewers have little man syndrome? or is it just the ones I've read..

my explanation is that people who think their views on music are so important that they (a) write reviews or (b) post on places like DIS are generally bell-ends with a hugely overinflated sense of self-worth.

that said, pitchfork reviews generally seem quite fair.

They all loved million dead and saw Frank in their fluffy kitten, of course. There may be a question over playing a stage a mile away from the fans will work, but arguments about Frank not deserving it or indulging in sixth form politics are just silly.

in my view frank is the 2nd uk act of my life time who's music was made for large venues / stadiums ...

the 1st being - oasis ...

now dont shoot me down - but the way frank writes and the giant sing along bits is similar to the 'anthems' written by noel gallager - the difference being frank is far less of a twat than noel

I like this comparison... Oasis being my other favourite artist along with Frank.

As for the gig, I am so there.

How amazing would it be if The Hold Steady supported?
