Addistock! It's Back!!!

Post by Rubber_Soul » Tue Jul 26, 2011 3:44 pm

Hey it's been a while but Addistock is back starting next Wed. For those that are not aware of Addistock it is an acoustic night in Birmingham that in under two years raised over £2500 for Macmillan, I called it quits in Jan as I needed a break and true to what everyone said it has come back!

So next Wed kicks things off properly I guess with Dave Hughes, Ciaran Lenehan, Neil Morris and Carlos and the Jackal at Castle Addis, this is a house show so if you want to come let me know.

29th Aug sees Mark McCabe and The Liberation Service play The Brighthouse in Birmingham, literally next to New Street Station. Other supports have yet to be announced.

5th Oct has Rob Moir and Dropout Dan play a completly unplugged set in my living room, other supports will be announced soon, again if you want to come let me know.

8th Oct we have your friend and mine Ben Marwood, Oxygen Thief and Quiet Quiet Band all back in The Brighthouse, no doubt more supports to be confirmed as well.

Finally the 12th of Nov sees Kyle from the Dawn Chorus and Retrospective Soundtrack Players come to Birmingham to play a solo acoustic show.

All of these events are free but there will be a Macmillan bucket should you wish to donate to them, also all the artists will have merch so if you like them buy something! Get them a pint, some grub or just give them a hug (maybe ask first before doing this one).

Anyhow it's nice to be back putting on gigs so I hope to see some of you fine folk there.

29th Aug, back from Leeds and straight out to a gig, sounds good now, might not sound so good on the day!

October 8th is very tempting. If I can get there, I definitely will.

Assuming that I'll be able to put up with the CUNT, yes.

Not sure I'll be able to do another Brighton-Birmingham jaunt for the 8th as much as I want to. Damn lack of money/uni timetable.
