Saw Twenty-One Pilots as a headliner (had seen them 4 times previously) and they did not disappoint. Energetic, heartfelt, great crowd participation. However the openers (Robert Delonge and Sirah), while working hard, their electronic style is not my thing. Definitely see Twenty-One Pilots, given the chance.

Glad you enjoyed them, keep an eye on Addistock over December I think you might like a few of the sessions we have coming up  . I really do wish I could see PJ more often, the guys amazing.
Did a great big troll through Addistock last night and man I didn't realise the fantastic stuff that's there.

The Oxygen Thief one is my favourite so far. But if your wink means what I think it means I might get a new fav. :)[/quote]

Yes sir, you are. When I heard the song "Crutches" live, it was one of those songs that killed me. Thanks for this. So, until December.......

Can't wait to see him again, I've heard there might be a PJ Bond UK tour as well.

Motion City Soundtrack rocked and melted my face as always. So happy when I get to see those guys!

And now I am showless until January when I'll be seeing Panic At The Disco...whom, to be honest, I'm not entirely thrilled to see. But one of my friends wants to go and simply will NOT go with anyone else...so, yay free show?

Ben Marwood tomorrow night, cannot wait! Haven't been to a gig all month. The GF has pulled out so if anyone's in Cardiff area I have a spare ticket and your welcome to it.

I used to have that Atari t-shirt. Bought it at Reading Festival in 2000 and wore it until it stretched to about 3 sizes too big for me.

Saw Jake Clemons last night on the first gig of his 8 date tour of Ireland. So nice to see him in Whelans after seeing him on stage in enormous stadiums in the summer.
I had no idea what to expect and just went because of the E Street connection. It was a lovely gig. Jake has a great band with him. He played acoustic guitar, keyboards and saxophone (not that much sax though). He described himself as a philosophical kind of guy and some of his in-between-song talk (including some stuff about Clarence) was really moving.
I shook hands with him after the gig. What a nice guy. He patiently signed lots of stuff and posed for numerous photos. It made me think how the game has changed for musicians. Personally I think I would prefer playing three hours rather than all the meeting and greeting, but that is a personal choice of course.
The gig was very well attended but it was not sold out. There were some E Street T-shirts in the audience, but with the exception of one shouting guy nobody mentioned the B-word.

Support act Nicole Maguire from Cork sang Joni Mitchell's "River". All of a sudden Joni Mitchell is everywhere. Frank covered it too, she was on the cover of Mojo and I see that Brian Kennedy has just released an entire album of Joni covers ("A love letter to Joni").

I (and several other posters on here) are seeing Jimmy Islip, Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Crazy Arm and Larry And His Flask in Manchester this afternoon. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again. I believe there are some tickets on the door if anyone else fancied coming along.

Seeing Smith Street in Sydney in March, both by themselves and with the Menzingers. Back to back nights. Should be all shades of awesome.
