This week I'm either at gigs with big productions, Flaming Lips at the Roundhouse last night and Muse in Coventry tonight, or I'm at a city festival running between venues, Handmade Festival in Leicester on Saturday and Dot to Dot Festival in Nottingham on Sunday.

Beans on Toast and Sean McGowan on Sunday, for me. Then Larry and His Flask in NY in July. A few others in between but lost my sodding diary.

Oh, and I didn't realise the Bull & Gate had closed. Crap. I told some bloke from Truro that I met on the train to try there on a list of places to try to get gigs in London. Ho hum.

Now this looks fun! http://www.theshindigbaltimore.com

Frank would fit right in, with that lineup..... Dropkick Murphys, Gaslight Anthem, Larry and His Flask, The Hold Steady, Joan Jett.....

I seem to be seeing their name everywhere today, Addis. Facebook seems to think I like them, although I've never heard them. Will listen now, though!

I'm going to have a listen to them later, when my student told me I figured they might be a little....well.....shit, but if they are getting talked about in other places I'll give them a listen.

Just found out The Emerald Armada are playing just outside of Liverpool tomorrow night! Very excited about this!!!

Muse were amazing last night. A great setlist and show. Probably my favourite gig this year.

With that name, I expect them to sound something along the lines of Lost Prophets, The Blackout etc.

They don't really sound like LP, but they don't really sound like LahF either. Can't say I was very taken with them, but I'm going to assume they will be all over the radio this summer.

On an unrelated note I went to see the Emerald Armada last night but due to a late starting gig and no real sound engineer I missed their whole set. Very annoyed. Off to see Silent Sleep tonight though so that should make up for it a little.
