I just saw my first Revival Tour, and it won't be my last. I drove two hours through a monsoon to get there, then two hours to get home. However, everything everyone says about the show is true. And meeting the band afterward was a load of fun. Chuck Ragan is quite the gent.
shows? 90 so far...

darlenet -

This will actually be my first Revival Tour. I've heard of it before, but never went, so I'm very excited and cannot wait for Friday. I managed to talk a co-worker into going with me, so this will be fun.

It's a good week for live stuff for me this week.

Saw We Will Rock You (ok so it's a musical not a gig) on Wednesday and there was a guest appearance in the encore from Brian May.

Tonight I'm off to see Black Rebel Motorcycle Club with Moomin.

Then on Saturday there's Retrospective Soundtrack Players, Glossary and Austin Lucas, followed by Lexapalooza on Sunday.

Went to my first Revival Tour last night, and I'll definitely be going again in the future. My co-worker loved it. She said that she definitely has to go buy some new music now, she said it definitely wasn't what she was expecting and that she was happy that I asked her to come with me.

its all died down for me again now, although this last weekend will be carrying me for a long time. BRMC flip my head and heart into all sorts of wonderful places so they alone would have been enough but then add in Lexa and the Windmill gig and I think I need a gig break!!!

However do have Lockey still to come and I am sure I can find more wonderful bands to see, really need to try for Jeffery Lewis tickets and Jonah.

last week i saw fake problems and into it over it (and the dangerous summer who i had never listened to) play at my friends university in boston. FP played 2 new songs that sounded awesome! however, after the show the drummer of TDS started talking to me about how much he liked frank (i had one of his tshirts on) and i was trying to talk to him about boston shows before he went "...uh im from atlanta.. i flew up to play the show". i felt sufficiently awkward after that.

the day after that though i went to my first revival tour and that was a lot of fun! like everyone said, great experience and do intend to go again in the future!

Absolutely fantastic gig from Lockey and co tonight. Best I've seen this tour. We could hear a lot of the crowd singing along and it was lovely to see them with massive grins at times. Also it was nice to be able to see them in the crowd for Boat Song.

Gotta agree, I think tonight was the best I've seen them. And Jim & the boys were obviously enjoying it too, which was ace. So glad I made the impromptu road trip! Also now the proud owner of the first JL&TSS jumper ever sold :)

I saw Pink in Birmingham last night and she was absolutely incredible. Awesome tunes, dancing and acrobatics. The encore involved her flying out over the audience on a ceiling mounted harness, while turning somersaults, a pretty fucking spectacular end to the show. She also found time to chat to the front row and collect the (hundreds) of presents they'd brought.

Amazing show, and yes, as you might have guessed, I've developed a bit of a girl crush haha :-/

Took my daughter to see All Time Low, Pierce the Veil, Mayday Parade and You Me At Six last night. It was on the University of Towson's campus, in their basketball arena... on the floor. Why? Did not like the venue. There must have been about 2500 kids there, and the whole time I'm thinking "June 6th and Frank can't get here soon enough". My daughter basically went for You Me At Six (and Pierce the Veil), so we got to leave early.... thank God. Only highlight for me was Mayday Parade doing a cover of a Taylor Swift song.
