At the moment, the rest of my year contains the following: Slydigs, Matthew Logan Vasquez, White Lies, Band of Horses, Jaret Reddick, The Maine, Jason Isbell, Stu Larsen, Royal Blood, Stone Sour, The Darkness.
Most of them in Brighton.
Hopefully lots more to add.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs
Just having The Dead South playing our venue right now, never heard about them before, but they're really really good. And I'm normally not really into folky country music.
Next week I will have CJ Ramone and the next day Against Me + Touché Amoré and Tim Vantol in Dresden. Will be a blast, I'm sure.

I saw the amazing Saint Sister last week. Wrote a review of the gig:

GLASTONBURY
There was a rumour that Frank would be the very special guest on Strummerville on the Sunday. Then this special guest was going to be Frank Carter, and in the end it wasn't him (pun intended). Thanks to Frank (T) for putting out a very clear Twitter message to quench the Strummerville rumours. It freed me up to go and see Shaggy. As the following list illustrates, you just cannot beat Glastonbury for variety.
My favourite sets:
1. The Young' Uns; 2. Khruangbin; 3. Sharon Shannon; 4. Justin Townes Earle; 5. The Pretenders; 6. Billy Bragg's radical roundup featuring Ralph McTell, Louisa from She Drew The Gun and Steve Knightley (Show Of Hands); 7. Foo Fighters; 8. Altan; 9. Seth Lakeman, 10. Alsarah & the Nubatones; 11. Billy Bragg (solo); 12. Laura Marling; 13. Napalm Death; 14. Bo Ningen; 15. Emily Barker; 16. Shaggy; 17. Liam Gallagher; 18. Showhawk Duo; 19. Dawn Penn; 20. Little Mammoths.
Biggest disappointment: Martha Wainwright.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs
CAN I TAKE A BRIEF MOMENT AND ASK HOW GOOD DID THIS WILL VARLEY GUY GET WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS!?!?!?
Holy shit. His show in Bristol last week was minblowing - NO ONE talking, you could hear a pin dropping during the set. And the next day in London, nearly the same (minus the annoying folks at the bar, who I luckily could bearly hear on the balcony). The Man Who Felt live in London was ...out of this world. Now two more months until they come over to Germany...counting down the days.

Re: Non-Frank Gigs
Uggghhhh. You're making me rethink the Skinny Lister/Will Varley shows that I had to give up because they're the same nights as a three show run of The Menzingers in New Jersey. I'm so conflicted.suitcaselife wrote: ↑Tue Feb 13, 2018 12:01 pmCAN I TAKE A BRIEF MOMENT AND ASK HOW GOOD DID THIS WILL VARLEY GUY GET WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS!?!?!?

Re: Non-Frank Gigs
Sorry not sorry, all I did today was telling my English/Scottish friends to come over for his shows in Hamburg and Berlin and the first person booked this flight. Another three are considering the journey. Also a friend from Dresden just got her tickets and another friend from Munich is considering it as will. We'll do a whole Pre Lost Evenings thing one month before Lost Evenings even takes place ....
... And I know all those people only because they're listening to the same music as I am. And I won't shut up about how good this Varley guy is. Never.
