I would be outraged! It's my favourite.
i would have been if there was no headline tour. i'm confident they'll play it in april, and i can die happy.

All roads to fault > rapt. dept.

Serious! Rapt. Dept. has the most amazing intro - then the chorus leads off and bored me a little.. it has such potential though. My favourite wasn't played either - but I'm confident they'll play it (I Am Connecting Flight) in April.

Thanks! Haha! It's odd, I think you're the only person I know of who hasn't been completely bowled over by them live. Here's hoping they are good. Mnemic are supporting though, I hear they're like Meshuggah but boring and shit. We'll see, like.

I second Evan's opinion on Deftones live. I'm still boggled by how some people thought that they were amazing at that Wembley show.

They weren't amazing. The sound fucking sucked, although it always does at Newcastle Academy.
Still, it was really heavy (obviously) and they played some of my favourite songs. Fun stuff.

Did they play either "Shut Up And Drive" or "My Own Summer"??

They didn't in Manchester (from what I recollect) and I was annoyed.

Or "Riviere" for that matter, but I was expecting that.

They played Shut Up and Drive followed by My Own Summer to open the set, as it happens!!
Encore was Back to School and 7 Words. I remembered the "angst" thing again.

Every time I have seen them I have been surrounded by people claiming the sound is bollocks. Hmmm...is it? Or is it that they can't play very well? A Perfect Circle had crystal clear sound when they supported them, and then the Deftones sounded like they were playing in a mud filled bucket. It can't be coincidence.
