love BoS, love that they're not all that chatty and just get on with playing. Saw them supporting Muse, and then at Leeds, have missed them touring since then because of timing... at Leeds they were supported by Broken Hands, want to see them again sometime too

Saw Seán McGowan at the Workmans Club last night. I had not seen him before but heard about him. Fantastic gig. Seán has good songs, a powerful voice and great stage presence. He had a guitar player with him who really added something to the songs they did together.
Bought a double EP that I have yet to listen to.

The Retrospective Soundtrack Players last night were amazing, get the album on Monday and catch them live if you can this week.

This week feels a bit like 2009 and the Poetry Of The Deed tour because I'm seeing Chris Farren tonight and Beans on Toast on Saturday.

I missed out on Beans on Toast in Hull earlier this week :( didn't know he was playing at all, I really should follow him on twitter or something. I never see any promotion for gigs in Hull. There was a short article about the gig the day after on the local papers website which was promoting the gig!
Heading to Sheffield next week to see the Xcerts and if I can afford it might get to Leeds the week after to see them again

Cocos Lovers with backing from Arlet last night was superb! One of the finest shows I've seen all year, roll on the Smugglers Christmas party I say.

Indeed he is, and bloody good he was last night too, despite a poor crowd turnout (this was in Dublin, by the way, but he sandwiched it between two dates in London).

I just saw JJ Grey (solo, not with his band Mofro). I had never heard of him, though he was highly recommended to me. I really enjoyed him. Great lyrics and emotion. They are coming to Europe in March, and Australia in April.
shows? 90 so far...
