Nah, won't be like that. I honestly have never seen such a circus before at a concert. That said, if you ever need a glow in the dark, "Marry me, Harry!" sign, I can offer advice having seen multiple versions.

sounds... weird :? I'm off to see The Maine tomorrow night in Leeds, gig should have been at The Cockpit but it closed because of structural problems so it'll be my daughter's and my first time gigging at the new The Key Club, so that'll be interesting

Great gig from Sturgill Simpson in Whelans last night. Twangy country and Southern rock.
I had seen him solo before, but this was much better. Fantastic guitar player (from Tallinn..!) who made the guitar sound like a pedal steel.
Venue packed; great vibe.

It certainly won't be like that. I'm one of the youngest here! The last gig I was at, I felt like I was a parent to most of the crowd. From one extreme to the other

Off to see Blackberry Smoke next week in the newly re-vamped Academy. I hope they haven't spoiled the layout, which was really good.

Going to Bastille tonight with my younger sister and mom. Only other time I saw them was as an opener in a stadium so it should be cool to see them do their own thing. Also nice to do something fun with family; my sister doesn't get to do a lot of things like that.
The weird thing will be being in seats ... I don't think I've done seats at a show since mid-2012.

Apart from dance acts I much prefer seats these days.

The last few times I've seen frank in venues I've had seats and it's so much better.

You get to watch the band play, see everyone enjoying themselves, it's a bit like going to the theatre.

After a terrible experience being about three rows from the ceiling in the London O2 for Bruce Springsteen (years ago, but it still bugs me) I made a new rule: Either I stand or I won't go.

Last time I did seats it was an emergency swap for standing for a gig that we would have queued for but then the daughter was ill, didn't want to queue all day and be too knackered to enjoy the gig. Got 3rd row, first block from the stage, the night before the gig for not much more than face, and the seats in front stayed empty through the gig too, so we had loads of room and it was ace. Before that was rear view for Muse, which was cool and not without its benefits...

I need more gigs. Signed up for a gym membership to accompany the other half, wish I'd said I'd use that money as my local gig fund instead, lol

Drove to Atlanta to see Gaslight Anthem supported by Against Me! TGA was a great show. They worked hard, the setlist was great (though the energy sagged with the new stuff), , and Brian was animated. However, Against Me! stole the show. They are a great live band. They totally rocked. LJG is amazing to watch. She is hardcore, but also sassy and funny. A few too many douches in the crowd, though.
