Mumford and Sons last night were absolutely amazing. I'd only heard one song of theirs before but they blew me away. A lot of fun.

I'm going to see The Automatic on the 21st in London. Then in our stupidity we're going to try and leg it to Kingston to see Frank play at New Slang. I'm not holding my breath for seeing anymore than him saying goodnight and walking offstage.

Managed to get tickets to the Thrice/Glassjaw/Brand New show at wembley on the 23rd for free which is nice. My friend can't go anymore so gave me them for nothing which is pretty ace.
Brand New still utterly fail to impress me on record, guess I'll just have to wait and see how they cut it live.

I'll be going along now as well thanks for Barry should be ace, havn't seen Thrice in a few years and glassjaw - well I don't think I could tire of seeing them live. As for Brand New well they used to be amazing live and on record but can't say I'm all that fussed with the last album and the past few times I've seen them they have been a bit crap. Still it's going to be an amazing night, think there is another band to be added as well.

it's looking like that is going to be the one date I'll have to miss. I thought I had lifts all sorted but thye have fallen through and as it's a monday night if I don't get back in time for work and actually be alive enough to teach I'll get a bollocking, which I don't really want. I do have the feeling though that I'll get to that weekend have an amazing time and just say 'to hell with it' and buy myself a train ticket.

I'm toying with the idea of seeing Glassjaw.

Not heard much of their stuff but I've heard far too many good things to not check them out.

Upcoming gigs I'm jizzing myself in anticipation for are Fun Lovin' Criminals and Dropkick Murphys, both at ...City

Dropkick Murphys are playing at City? How did I miss that on the gig listings?

That was a hell of a show. The Mumfords have been class both times I've seen them before New Years Eve, but the atmosphere at the Forum was even better. Cannae wait to see 'em again in March.

: )

Next few months I've got (in no particular order):

Crazy Arm in Islington
Stagecoach (x2 hopefully)
FT @ New Slang
David Ford at the Boogaloo
The Low Anthem @ Shepherds Bush (supported by David Ford)
Mumford & Sons - Shepherds Bush
FT @ The Roundhouse (and possibly another one or two if I can blag guestlist from a pal of mine)
and hopefully

The Joker and The Thief (forget when and where, but they're dead good like)

:D

April 17th I think it is. I've seen them twice before and twice they've been great. Got involved in the stagerush at the end as well. Although the last time I saw them, they had these two shit "skinhead" bands on support. Hopefully not this time
