Mongol Horde - Gigs 2018
The motherfucking Horde is back and nobody made a topic about this yet? Shame on you guys!
25 Jan 2018 | Glasgow, UK, King Tuts
26 Jan 2018 | Manchester, UK, Academy 3
27 Jan 2018 | Birmingham, UK, O2 Institute 2
28 Jan 2018 | London, UK, The Scala
Extremely excited about this. Because I'm unsure if the band is ever going to come to Germany, I immediately bought tickets for Birmingham and convinced my two friends to do so, too. I could convince them because they're also Frank Turner fans but I'm not sure if they know what exactly they're going to witness.
I'm so damn happy that I will actually see them live. I'm not sure if there are many like me but the Mongol Horde album is one of my favorite heavy albums of all time and I've been jamming it since release. I was scared it was a one-time thing so I'm really glad to see the project continue.

So excited at the return of Merngerl Herde - see you in Birmingham! I was on holiday for the last MH tour, so there’s no way I’m going to miss this one (even if it means a long road trip up to my old Midlands home town for the first time in years. Bostin’). Hoping this means a new Hörde album on the horizon too . . .
It’ll be my first non-working day in the whole of January (incl. weekends) so I can think of no better way to celebrate than by jumping around in a darkened room and screaming my head off. I’m off to buy some Strepsils in readiness.

Re: Mongol Horde - Gigs 2018
Hi guys,
has anyone received their tickets yet? I'm a bit nervous because my gigsandtours.com order is supposed to ship to Germany, but the shipping fee was only 2.50 pounds, which seemed a bit low to me for international shipping. That's why I'm worried that the tickets might have been lost or maybe haven't even left the UK at all.
Of course, these worries would be lessened if you guys told me that you haven't received a ticket yet either. Or maybe someone responsible for the gig reads this and can confirm that tickets haven't been sent out yet?
I hope everyone reading this has a nice week.

Don’t panic, I don’t think they’ve been sent out yet - I haven’t had mine in any case. So excited for this!

Looking forward to those three shows above! Got my Manchester ticket via mail and asked to collect the other two at the box office as I moved in the meantime and I was kinda scared they would get lost in the mail. Really really exciting so see MH for the first time in one week already

Going to king tuts on Thursday. Does anyone know if there's new material on the way?
Re: Mongol Horde - Gigs 2018
I’ve woken up deaf, hoarse and approximately 85% bruise, but damn, how good was Birmingham last night? Some things I learned:
1) The world needs more Möngöl Hörde. Sure, people have day jobs and whatnot, but still. We need this.
2) Slack Blabbath should definitely be a thing.
3) Madonna songs are surprisingly well suited to hardcore covers.
4) Frank’s been hiding some awesome dance moves from us all this time.Who knew? (Perhaps he was possessed by the spirit of Madonna).
5) The new songs sounded incredible, especially Godfrey Newman. Although the deviant in me is now wondering what other fake titles we can add to Wikipedia to get them to write a song about it.
6) Frank sings so loud that he can kill the microphone. He also sings so loud that we can hear him perfectly well without it. I swear it was two whole songs before anyone realised.
7) The best shows are those where the band on stage is clearly having a great time too. This came across in abundance and made for a phenomenal atmosphere.
Right, I’m off to get some arnica and vitamin pills, and mourn the fact that I’m not doing it all again in London tonight.

I'm still bruised all over, my voice disappeared this morning too, but I had the fucking time of my life during this tour.
Hightlights were def: Having Turner coming from the back in Manchester! Such a good surprise and a perfect start for the gig! Wow! And of course this Madonna cover; got the whole thing on record during the last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Kz9XHCte6g
Hope the record will be recorded sooner or later and I hope these were not the last gigs I whitnessed...but at least.. they didn't break up on stage on Sunday, ha!

*ahem* I think you'll find that Matt announced me as the new singer, much to Frank's amusement (and mine it must be said).suitcaselife wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 11:05 ambut at least.. they didn't break up on stage on Sunday, ha!
I thought the Scala was exceptional. One of the best shows I have seen in a long time, and arguably the best MH show I've seen.

Oh damn, I heard that + saw that big smile on your face. But at least this means the band continues, just without Turner. So, you better do a great job here, Evan!

I think it safe to assume I am entirely unsuited to the job. Shortly after he said that, I did about 2 seconds of screaming on Pornography For Cowards and my voice is yet to recover. No idea how Turner does it, and can entirely understand why we will never see Möngöl Hörde on the same bill as Frank.suitcaselife wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 12:49 pmOh damn, I heard that + saw that big smile on your face.
