Gig notification
I follow FT on twitter and FB but I never seem to receive notification of when gigs are announced. Frustratingly the Swindon solo show is sold out already, where do peeps get their info from ?
Re: Gig notification
Hi Buck197
Essentially how I do it is Twitter and Facebook. You gotta follow
A) The band/artist in question
B) Promoters in your area - this can vary from an individual DIY promoter to a national/international company
C) All your local venues
If you are into less mainstream music and specialised website like Punknews etc is also helpful.
This should catch pretty much everything.
Now, I'm someone who has been considering their social media use lately and am considering cutting the chord - anyone have any other ideas on how to keep up to date with gig/tour notifications - especially as most of the music I actively seek out is not gonna be adertised on the radio or in the papers?

You can keep up on FB and twitter without having an account. I use twitter more than FB as well as check artist and venue websites. Another decent resource, at least in North America, is pollstar.com. They do stay current with most of the clubs in my area.Daire wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2017 7:34 pmHi Buck197
