Tour Flag

Post by nicktest101 » Fri Jul 22, 2016 2:18 pm

Does anyone know how I can carry the tour flag from one show to another? I've tried looking online but can't find an answer.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, I manage the official tour flags. How the flags have generally worked in the past, with the exception of the very first one (which I was not involved with), is as follows:
1) A tour is announced
2) Fans express interest in having a flag for said tour
3) If I feel there is enough interest I will put out a sign up form for carrier volunteers, volunteers must be going to AT LEAST two shows in a row
4) If there are enough volunteers*, then I will put people in contact with one another to form the relay chain. I'll also arrange to get the tour flag to the beginning of the run
*If there are not enough volunteers, then the official flag does not go out on that specific tour.

So, basically, it depends on what tour you want to be involved in and if there are enough people who also want to be involved with that tour. You can keep in touch with the flag happenings at the links below, where I post out feelers as tours are announced, sign up form links, and pleas for help if we have a mostly covered tour - but still have some gaps. I do everything in my power to make the flag happen for fans during proper tours, however sometimes it just doesn't work out :(

If you were thinking of volunteering for the upcoming August shows, you can check out that information here: https://www.facebook.com/notes/fthc-fla ... 8020431742

Thank you for the great info Valderie. I'm super impressed that only one person coordinates the flag tour, I imagine it's a huge undertaking. I'm interested in getting the flag in Champaign, IL on September 27 and taking it to St Louis, Mo on the 28th. Fingers crossed that this works out.

Thank you again

Hi Valderie,

Is the tour flag out an about for the current tour? I am just thinking that I am going to be at:
Guilford on 12 Dec, Portsmouth, UK on 14 Dec, and Nottingham for 15 Dec for gig 2000, and would be happy to take the flag to it, if it is out there!

Xtra Mile is having a drawing for the previous North American tour flag at this link here, as modeled by two handsome bastards and one cute tween. Good luck!

Heard a bunch of rumours of drama around the flag and organizing it. Not sure what is fact, what is fiction and what is hyperbole. My daughter had it last in Asbury Park and finally got to get it to Frank in Ithaca. That's the flag they are giving away.

It's too bad the whole thing fell apart. Thought it was a cool idea.
