Guitar picks?

My little brother wants some new guitar picks for Christmas. I don't play guitar at all and figured that at least a few of you here besides Frank probably did and might be able to help me.

Is there a "good" or better brand out there that I should get him? Or are they all about the same? I don't want anything too horribly expensive because I know the kid is just going to leave them in his pockets and loose them eventually but I don't want to buy him something cheap and unless either. I know I could google this but wanted some opinions of people who actually use this stuff and not just companies trying to sell things.
