I blame the fact that final grades (marks) were due that week, and I was scrambling to deal with stacks of ignored papers, for the fact that I totally missed out on this. I bet Scott K. ordered a fan edition, though... maybe I'll have to beg to borrow his! (Hint, hint.) I'll definitely be getting the standard edition, though!

Has there been any word on when submissions will be chosen, and how fans will be notified? These emails from Pledge Music have gotten my hopes up..

£35/$58 for a special ed of frank's book sounds positively cheap by comparison with some of the books I buy.

I don't think I'm a big enough fan to warrant owning one myself [even if there were any left] - would prefer someone else had one

Have pre-ordered the vanilla version from the Big River

I wonder if there will be more to it than "how I clambered to the top of folk-punk with just a Young Person's Railcard and a guitar, sustained only Pot Noodles and Jack and Coke"

even so, you can't beat a good rock biog - or even a bad one...

I've been wondering about replies or info on the submissions too. What were the emails trixiedemilo? Also I've tried to watch the video update on pledge but it doesn't seem to want to work for me- anyone know what that was about? O

The emails were from Pledge music referencing an update to the project. One was that Frank was reading the submissions. The other was FT holding a copy oh handwritten lyrics to TBOMAMF

It's not a biography so much as a memoir, as I understand it.

Man the Fan Editions went REALLY quickly and I missed it completely... Anyone know of any competitions or giveaway's Frank or any other site is doing for one? This is my last ditch attempt really... Damn my poor timing!

But abusive moaning about the price of a limited edition book? Fuck you. I am fucking done. You’re entirely underestimating the cost of producing a short run of hardback books, and blaming the author for the price.
You know what, I was pretty pissed off about the price, but I just jumped online instead of thinking. I shouldn't have hid behind the anonymity of the internet to do my bitching. While my thoughts haven't changed, I do apologize for the way I handed it.

I'm not particularly sure confronting frank in person to do your bitching would be any more appropriate...

Yes, I know, I should have not said anything, as there's no point to it.

You are allowed to disagree with things and voice your opinion. It's the way you do it that makes a difference.

I got my email notice today as well! I am beyond chuffed/psyched (depending on your regional dialect) . This totally makes up for an unexpected $7000 repair expense on my house this week!!

Is it available on stores?
