Website I've made.

Post by Danlechief » Sat Apr 26, 2014 5:42 pm

Hey everyone. I made a website for my collectible stuff. It's probably 70% complete but I'd appreciate some constructive criticism. Thanks in advance.

Hi, Anyone here,
Yeah I think it looks really good and I'm impressed by your collection! If I'm honest, I can't think of any criticisms, It's a very tidy site!
Just a quick question, where did you get the poster from the Winchester gig?

I got them both from the venue after the gig. Thanks for looking wessexboy. I can't take any credit for the site though. It was a prebuilt thing. I was hoping some computer genius's would be able to tell me how to pimp it up!!

Quite an extensive collection.

I actually think you might have the number wrong for the Green EKMB, as I think it was much more like 1500-2000. It was the first release on both XMR and Epitaph, and the pressing was available worldwide as I understand it. It was so widely available that no one at XMR even realised there was a black version (for real). Discogs says it is a Banquet exclusive, but I am pretty sure that is not true (perhaps in the UK). I might be wrong of course, but I am 98% sure it was also available direct from XMR and Epitaph too.

Also, the splatter of TDH is limited to 200 or 250, not 500. It is the rarest version of any of his albums on LP I think. The next rarest are the Epitaph white pressings for both LIS and POTD, which have 300 each.

I am surprised you don't have the Buddies 10".

Ok. Thanks Evan. I will update those when I can. Buddies went for just £3.60 on eBay recently but I was too skint even for that. The only 2 I'm desperate for right now is the jonah splatter and RNTBAI. I've never seen the jonah splatter for sale and reasons always seems to go up when I'm broke.

The Jonah thing is more of a brown splodge than a splatter. Looks like someone had an accident. I have no idea how many there are, but I had two at one point and I also know someone else who has it.

If I had known how valuable the Reasons 7" was going to be, I would have both bought more and held onto the ones I gave away in Lexapalooza raffles. I had 5 and now I have 3 (2 within the 300, and 1 outside of it). And no, I am not interested in selling one.

Doubt it. I can ask him if you like, but I would imagine the answer will be a resounding negative.

100 sounds right I suppose. I don't think I have ever listened to it. I had the MP3s in advance of it's release, and the promo CD (I think). I cannot stand Jonah Matranga (or indeed Billy Bragg), and I think Turner's efforts were significantly less impressive than when he was playing them live at the time. I think a lot of the early recordings suffered from this a bit. PLus I didn't actually have a turntable when it came out, so there is a good chance I have never put it on.

He certainly has his moments, but I find his whole schtick to be a bit contrived. And, for want of a better word, I think he is a bell end.

Recovery was limited to more than 1000 (it was probably 1500, and that doesn't include the black vinyl un-numbered German release). I think the copy I have is over 1000, I can check if you're interested.
